OhCanada-ParticipantCousins gets abused on the defensive end, thats why he is gaurding Evans now lol. Casspi is an amazing player, I witnessed it myself. Your crowd is spectacular, got your team into it they just fed off the crowd and came right back into this game. Its not over baby!

Mr. 19134ParticipantYeah Cousins don’t even have a block this year.
And it was cool to see Sammy D and Reggie Evans talking at the end of the game at center court.
I remember when they’re defense and hustle willed the Sixers to the playoffs playing great frontcourt defense.

BasketBalAllanParticipantCasspi played amazing, again. Tyreke played well, and Cousins picked up his offense towards the end of the game. For a while it seemed like the Raptors were just never going to miss a shot…

BasketBalAllanParticipantThe group of Garcia, Casspi, Head, and Landry have all been hitting their outside shots so far and are a huge part of the reason the Kings are 3-1, and could have been 4-0. Also its worthy to note that Tyreke has shown an improvment in his outside shot, not a huge one but enough to notice a difference. The Kings are also passing very very well as a team over the past four games and have been averageing very few turnovers; although tonight they seemed to have trouble with the assist collum…

Mr. 19134ParticipantKings fan don’t need to worry about Reke or his shooting his work ethic is off the charts and he will get better at it every year. In high school we thought Tyreke Evans was going to be the best prospect coming from out my city, Philly, sine Kobe and thus far he is proving us right. Only if the dam Sixers could of tanked that season to get him.

hoodwinkParticipant(As a Kings fan) 3-1 is a great feeling, despite an easy schedule heretofore. The Raps definitely put out an impressive effort on the road tonight though (props to them), but we were really were able to clamp down in the fourth…
If Casspi’s aggressive play and outside shooting become consistent, the Kings might bloom a bit earlier than expected.
Cousins’ defense is a sore spot. There are some possessions he plays well, but his overall focus on that end of the court is pathetic. Conversely, in late game situations his fearlessness and focus on the OFFENSIVE side of the ball is coming up huge.
It’s true about Evans’ outside shot. It’s definitely improved a bit. He’s also understanding how to pass out of converging defenses to outside shooters much better.

dye84Participantgotta tip my hat off to reggie evans, he grabbed every rebound near him and a couple away from kings players, raptors didnt look like they could miss until the fourth quarter, great comeback by the kings and some nice finishes by cousins, even tho he got into early foul trouble he still hit some big shots at the end and knocked down a couple of clutch free throws, big game weds against the lake show, win or lose it will show how good this team really is

Mr. 19134ParticipantThey tried giving Reggie Evans the minutes in Philadelphia but he’s just not good enough to stay on the court that long. He is a liability on offense and picks up dumb fouls the longer he is on court. But he is one of the best rebounders in the league.

midwestbbscoutParticipanthe would fit in well on a team with enough scoring….there is no way he is more of a liability on offense than Rodman….

OhCanada-ParticipantEvans is probally the biggest liability on offense in the entire league. I think Bryan Colengelo intentially scratched this season, because it is beyond me why he picksup guys like Barbosa and Klieza, but passes up on C’s like Ryan Hollins who could be a great contributor to this team. Bargnani is horrible at C and honestly you cant really blame him, guys Cousins size can just push him out of the way its not like Bargnani wasnt in position hes just not a C. Management should seriously look into this and fix this problem because Bargnani is definitely an elite scorer and at PF his skills would only be more potent.
Barbosa, and Weems off the bench isnt working well because the two dont compliment each other at all. Also Weems and Barbosa dont play well with Calderon chemistry wise because Calderon is used to playing textbook, fundimental PG, and Barbosa and Weems like to create, and score. The Barbosa deal looks good on paper, but the Raps shouldnt have gone out for another gaurd, they should have targetted a Center who can do similar things to Reggie Evans but with more length and size, because in both the games Toronto lost it was because the frontcourt was exposed.
Loss 1- New York Knicks- Stoudimire uses his length and athletisism to score at will on the smaller and less athletic Evans which brings NY back into the game and gives them the lead.
Loss 2- Sacramento Kings- Bargnani gets outworked by Landry, Cousins and Dalembert on the defensive end, giving up offensive rebounds and dunks/layups.
At the end of the day Raptors are probally gonna get a Top 10 pick unless they quickly adress these issues, they will have to target a true C next year or they will never compete.
