Found videos of workouts held by Kings, many top players were there so it’s interesting what they were doing and how they looked liked like.

I hope the Kings bring Barnes in for a workout, I still haven’t seen him since the end of the season. Drummond looked good though, I think he’d fit right in with the Kings as a mobile Serge Ibaka type next to Cousins. He’d be a phenomenal help defender, and I think he’d be a nightmare guarding the pick and roll with his ability to guard smaller players on the perimeter.

Wherever Drummond goes, he’s gonna be great unless he falls out of the top 6. Teams picking 2-6 could all use and develop him.

These videos kind of make Henson look better than Drummond. Drummond seemed a tad bit uncoordinated

I think Damian Lillard is going to translate to the NBA as a very good scoring point guard.  I have my doubt about his ability to run a team as a play-maker for others, but you can’t deny his offensive scoring ability.  The dude hits shots in bunches…

I like the way Drummond looked with his face up, but his jump hook looked pretty brutal.

Don’t read too much into Drummond’s post-play in the workout, the times I’ve seen him be effective in the post in game it has been on the other low post.

One thing you can take from this video is how good his hands are, he had literally no problems grabbing those passes coming from between his legs without really looking at them.

I still think he’s going to work best as a pick and roll player, UConn almost never ran that last season, but his mobility, hands and ability to hit the mid-range speak to his capacity to excel in that situation.

How the hell is Drummond such a bad ft shooter with solid form like that?

I was surprised at how nice his J was from that 12-15 feet range.

Watching Drummond play in college and set picks was one of the most painful things to watch. Like you said his size, strength and mobility should all allow him to become a great pick and roll player but in order for the P&R to be effective, the picker actually has to set a pick on the ball handlers defender and Drummond rarely would make sufficient (if any) contact at all with the defender. He really needs to work on making sure he gets in the way of the on ball defender because that is what creates the play. In college he rarely was able to do this and that was one of the reasons Uconn sturggled so much on offense.

Drummond needs a great defensive coach more than anyone since perhaps Dwight.

And I love the Lillard/Jay Williams comp.  He’s so Jay it hurts.  That’s top 6 worthy.

I was thinking about Worst-Case Scenarios:

Kings seem to definitely want MKG or Thomas Robinson at 5. But what if Robinson goes 2 to Charlotte, MKG goes 3 to Washington, and Barnes 4 to Cleveland? Will they take Beal even though they have a million guards? Will they take Drummond even though they have Cousins and they’re similar sizes? Or will they surprise everyone and take Henson?

Cavs seem to definitely want Barnes or Beal at 4, but what if Barnes goes 2 to Charlotte and Beal goes 3 to Washington? Do they take MKG? Do they take Drummond? It was reported a while ago that they love Jeremy Lamb, but I can’t see any way he goes in that slot.

Warriors seem to definitely want MKG or Barnes but either of them dropping to 7 seems doubtful. If Beal and Drummond were both available, would Warriors take Drummond and let him develop behind Lee and Bogut for a couple years, or take Beal and move Klay to the 3?

Drummond would actually be a good fit for the Kings.  He’s so raw offensively that he wouldn’t take away from Cousin’s touches.  And defensively, he’d add a major piece to what the Kings have going on.  This pick would make the most sense if MKG, Barnes and Robinson were all off the board.  In fact, they may prefer Drummond to those guys.  Also, Lillard could be picked.  He’s more of a pg than anyone else they have and he’s good enough to go #5.  Moreover, the Kings have a history of falling in love with (and foolishly picking) high volume guards even though they have no ability to develop them and a roster full of them.  It would not surprise me if Lillard was the pick here, but he would be a terrible fit for the Kings.

Did Thomas Robinson work out for the Kings? Do you know how his workout went?

Don’t know at least they haven’t made the video. Toronto Raptors also post some kind of videos of their workouts but it’s more about their journalist analyzing the players, hovewer they show some stuff from the court. So, here is workout review with a little bit of Harrison Barnes

Drummond with Cousins?  Would be soooo easy to double Cousins since Drummond can’t shoot. Who is going to defend the good bigs between those two, Drummonds defense is a lot like Deandre Jordan. Athletic ability and blocks tend to hide that he isn’t that good of a defender not too mention is lack of motor. If he could somehow magically get a high motor then its a steal. Its a high risk high reward pick
