Mr.Knick 32Participanthttp://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/67747/20100702/amare_knicks_making_progress_on_max_contract/
What do you think? He’s getting the Max and I don’t know how I feel about it. He still has the legs, he’s only 27 and could actually play out this deal. I think the Knicks now have a great shot to land LeBron James. With the addition of Amar’e, I still think we need a PG.

RickyRubio9ParticipantSuprising..If he’s their only big signing Amare has no chance at winning.
Mike D must’ve recruited hard for his former player, I heard it’s going down as early as today..0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/02/2010 - 8:01am #345546
OhCanada-ParticipantI wonder what that means for Bosh because obviously Bosh was there first option at PF.Why did Bosh turn them down so quickly.Whats the motive there..Maybe they are just so behind in the James sweepstakes they feel they need to get this peace and put pressure on him or even Joe Johnson.JJ didnt sign with the Hawks yet right.
EIther way I really do hope the Knicks pick up Stoudemire and Lebron that way Toronto doesnt pair Bosh with LBJ. If Bosh goes away from LBJ and Boozer goes to Miami than no matter where Bosh goes we will get good talent for CB4.

OhCanada-ParticipantEither way this is a big win for NY.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI think Toronto ends up either moving Bosh to Chicago or Houston now.

bobbybParticipantDont think Amare is going to get along with Lebron. He is used to being a go to on offense. Remember when he complained whe Shaq was getting the ball to much. Without Nash, he will struggle. Also dont you think if he wasnt damaged goods that the suns would have resigned him?

bkb77ParticipantI think the name to look out for now is Tony Parker, I heard the knicks have legit interest & Curry,& chandler for Tony Parker would work money wise, maybe the knicks throw in a future 1st but if they can get Amere & Parker I think Lebron would come.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantAlso dont you think if he wasnt damaged goods that the suns would have resigned him?
Not paying attention. They lowballed him and he left.
Also, I think NY will need a hungry C next to him who can grab boards.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI like Earl Barron next to him.. He could be Robin Lopez in NY… He is a great rebounder and defender but he isnt going to take Amare’s shots.. Hopefully, the Knicks have given up on Lebron and they are actually looking to build a “team” instead of a “Lebron’s” to be successful.. If they can just get a scorer to go with a passing PG, they have the ability to be a playoff team this year and still be a player in the FA class next year…

The Spurs just got a $15 million gift from Richard Jefferson that got their balance sheet healthy in a hurry. They have no need to dump Parker’s salary at this point, so I don’t think you should get your hopes up.
Also, there might be a magical fairy tale universe called Knickland where a team would part with Parker for Eddy Curry and Wilson Chandler, but not in the real world.

DNYCEWhy do you guys keep sleeping on Bosh to the Lakers? We have the best sign and trade possible, hands down. This is how I see things taken place.
Bosh- to the Lakers(media has kept you quite on that)
Amare- possibly the Knicks, if not he will go to the Cavs in a sign and trade. I personaliy don’t think he is that much better than David Lee. This is a pointless signing, but it’s to draw the attention of Lehype and Joe Johnson.
Joe Johnson- Hawks most likely, or the Knicks. I Steal think there is a possiblity he goes to the Cavs in some type of sign and trade to keep Lehype happy in Cleveland.
Lebron- He is staying in Cleveland, World Wide Wes has me confused with his tweet “Lebron and Bosh are going to Chicago” really?????? Stephen A Smith “Lebron is going to Miami”, really??????? You just never know with Lehype. Notice that the Cavs just signed Byron Scott though, and we all know he likes his teams to run and gun. Charles Barkley constantly talked about how Cleveland needs to run, because they play to slow. He would harp on that on just about every half time or post game show that the Cavs played on TNT. Read between the lines people.
Boozer- Chicago is the most likely destination IMHO, he has a strong relationship with DWade, they could go to Chicago and make a strong team. Boozer’s other choice will be Miami. Im shure someone will love the idea of no state taxes.
Rose
Wade
Deng
Boozer
NoahThat team is better than the Bosh, Lehype team IMHO,because Boozer plays well against the East, and Wade is better than Lebron.
Dwade- Miami, or Chicago

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI dunno right now for me it’s
Chicago- Boozer
Miami- Bosh and Wade
New York- James and Stoudemire

RickyRubio9ParticipantWhat the heck do the Lakers have to offer Bosh in a Sign&Trade?
I’m not calling you crazy, but…Just wondering.Sasha, Odom, Walton?
Please don’t say Bynum ’cause he’s overrated in my mind…vastly overrated & anytime he plays good they say, “Looks like the injuries aren’t bothering him” but if he sucks..”& you can tell he’s hurting” ..
I don’t see how Bosh could end up on the Lakers..0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/02/2010 - 10:42am #345641
OhCanada-ParticipantI think..
Lebron-New Jersey, New York, Cleveland(Lebron should be going where the cash is)
Amare-New York
JJ-Atlanta
Wade-Miami
Boozer-Miami
Ray Allen-Boston,Miami
Pierce-Boston
Dirk Nowitzki-Dallas
David Lee-Chicago
Bosh-LA,Houston-(wants his own team and with Kobe expected to decline soon and Jackson on his way out LA is all his)
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/02/2010 - 10:43am #345642
OhCanada-ParticipantIt doesnt matter what the Lakers have to offer…Its up to Bosh.
Bynum,Odom,Draft Picks,Farmar,Brown….
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/02/2010 - 10:57am #345645
RickyRubio9ParticipantBrown & Farmar are Free-Agents..
& Why would they want to add 2 more Point Guards?
I don’t see why they’d want to add Odom who is already 31 & has about 2-3 more years on his contract.
Their draft picks aren’t all that great, it’s not like they will suck.
& How is it up to Bosh? Only way he has a real choice is ..if he takes less money & goes straight there without a Sign&Trade.
Toronto does have some say in what goes…but if you all say it’s possible..so be it.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/02/2010 - 11:06am #345651
NYK2010ParticipantIf your the Lakers why would u want Bosh when he’s a soft player compared to Bynum.
Means Gasol will have to play Center, by now Gasol and Bynum have
Even with Bynum not 100% they won the title 2 yrs in a row.Wade isn’t better than Lebron, one bad series against the Celtics doesn’t put him below Wade.
Amare on the Knicks means they definately won’t be the worst team in the league now
Hopefully he stays healthy, plays some defense, blocks some shots and scores a lot.0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/02/2010 - 11:17am #345655
OhCanada-ParticipantRubio…geesh its like talking to a little kid
You asked what chips they have…I showed you.BC has been notrious in quick fix trades, and signings(Oneal,Marion,Turkoglu,Jack). It just seems like something he would do. Id see. Odom is an Allstar level player as is Bynum when healthy. They are key pieces to a Championship team…
Odom,Bynum a couple picks=done deal
I heard a Jack,Bosh for Odom, Bynum, Farmar rumour.
If Bosh wants to go to LA it HAS to be S&T so if BC doesnt wanna he doesnt have to and can still get talent for Bosh elsewhere. Also a third and fourth team can always be incorporated.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/02/2010 - 11:29am #345662
RickyRubio9ParticipantAll I’m saying is their “chips” aren’t all that great..
You’re right, it’s Bosh’s choice.0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/02/2010 - 12:07pm #345680
butidonthavemoneyYeah, I’m not sure how I feel about this…
Amare is an upgrade over David Lee, but he doesn’t fix everything for the Knicks. He will defenitly help win some more games.
Like everybody is saying, this can’t be all for the Knicks. Their next move makes all the difference.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/02/2010 - 12:17pm #345685
NYK2010ParticipantLakers chip is playing with Kobe and Gasol and the Lakers who are always a threat to win it all.
Bosh, Wade and Ray Allen won’t get it done need a PG/C and some back up big men.0 - AuthorPosts
