going to say too old, but you know…J-Kidd is 36 almost I think, may be already and he played. I don’t see why not though. LeBron, Melo, Howard, Paul, Williams, and Bosh should all still be on the team. Possibly Wade, but he’d be…31? And the other two guard will be older as well and that’s Michael Redd.

Wade will be a little older, but certainly smarting going to college. That’s something LeBron & Melo don’t have.

It depends on how dominant the Lakers are. If they’re still competing for titles then he should rest for them. If not anymore then the olympics is the best thing to do.

If he wants to represent our country then he should be able to do so.

He’ll be 33? That hasn’t stopped those in other sports; Zidane and Gretzky. They were older when they competed in the World Cup and Winter Olympics, but it is relative to the sport. The veteran role at the 2012 games will be vital in making a transition from older stars to rising stars and Kobe is the veteran to help make a smooth transition. Barring a Shaun Livingston ankle injury, I say use Kobe for veteran leadership and his innate ability to take over games.

kobe could play coming off the bench. i think the usa team starting lineup in 012 would be like this pg-paul sg-melo sf-bron pf-bosh c-d12

i think kobe would have more of a jason kidd effect on the team if he decides 2 play again. he may still start like kidd did this past olympics but his playing time will be limited.
