found some different footage of Kobe we are not used to, and thought it was worth a post:

it’s always nice to see top athletes giving back…

He was just in the video to get awareness out about the homeless. The article even said that it is not like he is there helping them. It would mean a lot more if he showed up and helped during the offseason for couple of days.

Would it mean a lot more? Is Kobe spending a few days doing work for the homeless really more valuable than him raising awareness? Anyone can help the homeless, only Kobe Bryant can raise awareness. If he’s using his name and presence to increase the public awareness of the issue that should be enough.

It comes across as more sincere if helped them. To talk to and help people shows you care more than being in a video about the homeless. The video probably has a bigger impact, but helping at the homless shelter like cleaning it, serving meals, or hanging out with the homeless shows more sincerity in his actions.

Kobe and Vanessa have their own foundation to fight homelessness if I’m not mistaken.
