Kobe: I’d Win in One-on-One With LeBron

Los Angeles Laker star Kobe Bryant made a rare appearance in London today to help launch the London School of Basketball. Perhaps the biggest thing that was said was his response to a question from a fan about who would win a 1 on 1 between him and superstar Lebron James.

“I’d win, I’d win” he said shaking his head, much to the delight of those in attendance. He continued “That’s what I do. One on one is..that’s easy for me, you know. Playing one on one is how I grew up playing, it’s like my thing. Lebron is more like a Magic Johnson, he’s a great passer and plays an all around game. At the core of me, I’m a one on one player. I’d do that in my sleep.”

Wooow thats a gutsy statement by Kobe! I wasnt expecting him to backdown in anyway but "I’d do that in my sleep". Wow i think we all knew he doesnt hurt 4 confidence or swagger but thats takin to another level lol. What are you guys opinions???? Would love sum feedback.

The only way Lebron could possibly beat Kobe in one on one would be to drive to the basket and try to overpower Kobe.

Thats Reke DMC but a win is a win rite lol. Really tho i dont think Lebron could guard Kobe. Kobe juss has it all offensively his skill level in ridiculous with the left or right hand he’s juss to skilled 4 lebron to handle even tho at this point Lebron is more athletic, Lebron still isnt a great on-ball defender

when kobe says something like that you know he is trying to convince everyone including himself he is the best. Which is he is not. Lebron is better at every part of the game, and would win in a one on one simply on defense alone. But offensively he is bigger, faster, more athletic, would eat kobe up inside and out. kobe could not stop  him. end of story.

       To bballguru:

You are a fool if you truly believe that Lebron is better at every single part of the game.   I think you are part of the small minority that thinks Lebron is a better pure scorer, which, would be included in "every part of the game."

Kobe is a fool, LeBron would kill him one on one. LBJ is too strong, too fast, and too smart. Yes I know Kobe is skilled, but so is LeBron, and LeBron has a size advantage.
