Okay, i just have a question. Why is it the Lakers can lose 5 straight games, something they HAVE NOT DONE IN PAST YEARS, and probably could lose there last two as well, and no one will even admit they are not that great. Theyve lost 5 straight WITH Bynum. Theres no excuses, except, what? they got bored? They are battling for the highest seed in the playoffs and want momentum going in.

If this wasnt the Lakers, we would be saying that even though this team is extremely talented it is not a good sign for the postseason. Where they could see Portland or Memphis in round 1 (Ill be the first to admit New Orleans is no challenge)/ But since they are the Lakers, 99% of the internet will pick them to win the NBA title. They arent the best team. CLEARLY, i mean CLEARLY, the Bulls are. They dont lose to good teams. ever. 12 straight wins vs the top 8 teams in the NBA.

every team struggles at some point during the season…but the lakers are known for bouncing back when it matters.

when it gets down to play off time the black mamba strikes hes as money as it gets when it matters and thats in the play offs the grizz really no threat at all the blazers come on yes they had a good year la emerged as a legit no 1 option on off but they just dont have the play off ex too make me think they could handle kobe and the lakers in the play offs

The Cavs beat up on the best teams the past couple of seasons too, and?? I don’t see anyone talking about how dominant the Cavs were in the regular season, and a team can’t fake a NBA championship wtih 7 game series in place. The best team usually wins every single time. The Lakers have won back to back with the same core players but somehow they are overrated? You say the Bulls are the best team, but they haven’t even won a playoff series with their core of players yet. Wait and see before you go anointing them as the best team. That is what the playoffs are for.

Regular season is the regular season. Every possession is different come playoff time. It is a different game in the playoffs. You game plan 4 one team. You have 1 to 3 days off of rest as well. Superstar players are more locked in. Experience shows. C’s and Lakers do no look good going down the stretch, but last year C’s sucked the whole 2nd half of the season. They played like trash. Lakers,Celtics are going to be the toughest teams to beat in a 7 game series. The Bulls are good, but we will see what happens come playoff time. One team steals a game in their building and wins the next in their own and the series is 2 to 1 we will see how they hold up. Very different when the team is experienced and puts in a game plan 2 shut 1 team down.

Because this is what they do in the regular season. I don’t think they had won 17 of 18 in past years so does that make them great?. You wanna know why no one trips and why people still say they are the favorites, because they go through the regular season like its preseason. Sometimes they go out and dominate and sometimes they go out and get beat by someone like the Clippers. They don’t trip over it and people have learned not to as well because once the playoffs come they turn it on. Doesn’t matter if they had lost 10 in a row and never have done it before just like the win streak they had which they havn’t done before. San antonio has never played as bad of defense in there past titles years but that doesn’t make them ay less dangerous just because that had not been done before.

Just can’t take the " this or that team has never lost or won or blocked, or stole in the past so they mmust not be as good". They lakers had never lost 7 of there last 11 games last year and still win a title yet what happened at the end of the playoffs?

Are the only thing that matters homie. However if your talking about some of the Laker fans I know where you’re coming from. How it becomes laker fever when they are winning, but the fans disperse when they start losing. Other than that, play offs are the only thing that matters. Celtics and Lakers do this every season.

The same thing is said when they are winning. I made a post about them wining and none the people who were down on them before the allstar break ( too old, kobe has fallen off) not one said a word, they were just waiting for them to lose to start talking. it was like that on here every year) praying for there down fall.

I’m feel the same way about the Celtics. I like The Bulls way more than the eltics but i know the Celtics are a different team int he playoffs so i’m far from writing them off. There are just some teams that you believe in or not no matter how they do in the regular season. Dallas is a team that can win 60 plus games and alot of people ( me included) still don’t have faith in them and woulnt be surprised if they lose in the first round. Lakers and Celtics are teams that an finish 4th in there conference and it still wouldn’t surprise anyone if they made it to the finals. Why? Because the Playoffs are a wwhole different animal and if both teams are Healthy they will be anightare for anyone they go against. I’m not as conviced about the Celtics as in the past because Perkins is no longer there and even though he didnt put up out of this world stats he was very important and had a big effect on there game plan

That goes both ways, Kayjay. There weren’t that many Bulls’ fans since Jordan until Rose showed up… That statement can go both ways. Rose has probably doubled the amount of Bulls’ fans. It’s pretty obvious when you see D.Rose profile pics and people who name their account name after him. They make up a very small percentage, but I can only imagine how many so-called Bulls’ fan jumped on or suddenly showed up because of Rose.

When you talk about teams stepping up in the play offs about 3 teams always spring to mind, the Lakers, the Celtics and the Spurs. When considering who is likely to win the overall NBA title we naturally add in the Bulls due to their fantastic season and Miami with their big 3. I wonder how many people would bet on the Champion coming from outside these 5 teams, other teams are in the mix but 3 are proven in the play offs and the other two have to be included but this Miami line up hasn’t been in the play offs before.

If you ask me who is likely to win, I’d say I don’t know and would not like to call a 7 game series between any of the two teams listed above for an NBA final.

But if your time was down by one point with 3 seconds on the clock in the 7th game of the final, I know I’d want Kobe to be taking that final shot!

I wouldnt be surprised if Orlando made it. Playoff’s basetball is mostly half court and there is no answer for Howard in the Playoff’s

lakers lost 7 of their last 10 going into the playoffs last year too and looked just as bad then as they do now, how did that end up working out? Lkaers dont play the regular season like everyone else becasue they are an old vet team that knows they can pick it up when they have to. The bulls on the other hand are a young team playing every single night to prove themselves.

Playoffs are almost here so we wont have to wait long to see if the lakers are still legit.

I guess OKC has no chance Since they actually have a worst record then the Lakers ( only by one so far)..that says it all though. Lakers are number 2 and some people say they look so bad yet there are teams behind them that some say look so good
