Now I know this prob would never happen due to it being the lakers and celtics, but it could help out both teams. The lakers need depth and youth in the worst way and the celtics need rebounding and low post scoring badly (yes they have kg but anyone that watched celtics games can tell you he became more of a mid range guy)….. so a trade of bradely (stock is rising since return, good defender to take some pressure off kobe because nash is awful at d), sullinger (young, good offensive skills big) and jeff green ( contract filler and depth) for gasol (stock declining but still one of the best 7 footers in the game with good low post presence and rebounding) and jamison (just adds depth at 3/4)
    Lakers lineup
    Nash/bradley
    Kobe/meeks
    Peace/green
    Clark/sully
    Dwight/hill

    Celtics
    Rondo/barbosa
    Terry/lee
    Pierce/jamison
    Pau/bass
    KG/collins/melo

That’s not a bad trade in theory, but Gasol makes almost twice as much as Bradley, Green and Sullinger… so you need another 9 million in contracts going to the Lakers to make that trade possible.

Saw that after as well, so take out sully and add lee and bass, not as good of a four but gives em an extra wing man and makes the contracts work.

Not a bad trade and this would move KG back to PF and Pau back to C where they both play more effectively. Also Pau and KG would be an amazing tandem as they are 2 of the most skilled bigs in the world and have been for a long time and they are both unselfish so it would work without a doubt.

I actually like this trade a lot. And D’Antoni was starting Kobe at SF but Darius Morris wasn’t cutting it at SG. So I could see D’Antoni starting Nash/Bradley/Kobe/Green/Howard which looks like a heck of a lot better lineup in his system then what he has currently also Green is a perfect PF for his system.

I’m just waiting on somebody to come on here to say that Bradley is untouchable.

I think you over rate Bradley a little with this trade. Is he a great defender when healthy? Obviously yes. But that’s basically all that Boston is giving up. Green,Lee and bass aren’t good value for gasol. Who showed last night that he is still a very good post player. The Celtics would get a steal if they got gasol for that.

Maybe if Boston could act as a third team to facilitate a trade with the Lakers then they could land pau. Also the Celtics traded with the Lakers in 05 if I’m not mistaken(Gary Payton) so if its a fair deal for both teams than I think they would make a deal.

I actually like it. It makes the Celtics better now and a threat in the east. Pau and KG would be pretty good together and pose problems for almost every team in the east with their size and talent.

The Lakers will get better now too, but more importantly they get better for the future with players that are younger and more athletic, adding to their defense and offense. Maybe a couple of Gms need to get this trade idea whispered in their ear.
