It seems like every year a couple of prospects see their stock rise, at least in the eyes of those mocking the draft, between the combine and the actual draft. I wonder who everybody thinks could rise this year?

I think that Steven Adams will end up as a lottery pick. He is one of the few centers in this draft without questions about his physique and has tremendous upside. He is a rare player who could become an outstanding defender both on and off the ball. His combination of motor and physical tools suits him well. He is a project, but he may be the best project in the draft. His upside is significantly higher than Gobert’s and he seems to just play harder on the court and to just want it more than Len. Of course, I may be wrong, as Drummond, a player with similar questions about his game, was a slider on draft day, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Adams was a top 10 pick on draft day.

I also think Trey Burke will get even more hype as a potential first pick as the draft approaches, due to his low bust potential and professional attitude. His great stats will also help him now that the season is over.

Dario Saric is another name to watch, as his offensive skill set may be the most unique of any player in this draft. In the right situation, he could be special, although I think he really needs to be drafted by the right team. His upside should prove intriguing enough for him to get lottery hype before the draft.

Giannis Adetokoubo has been slowly but surely rising. I don’t care what competition he was playing against, the kid looks like a future stud.

Also watch out for Shane Larkin and Myck Kabongo
Larkin had an impressive athletic testing results. So many teams are going to be interested and him in to workouts. Depending on how he does in those many workouts his stock should rise. I think he’ll do very well, because of 3 things. 1 his leadership and intangibles is really high, he can shoot 40% from 3 point range, and he is extremely fast for an under 6ft point guard. Those things tend to translate well into the NBA so he should do pretty good in workouts.

Kabongo never got a chance to show his improvement between his sophomore and freshman season at texas. Only played in 11 games his sophomore year because of an ineligibility problem with the NCAA. He never got a chance to show what he can do. We know he’s a great talent just from his high school days, and he also had a great showing at the combine, so he should get a lot of interest from a lot of teams. I excited to see what he can do. I expect both prospects to be mid-late first round picks.

i’m real real high on Larkin for the Jazz (at least at this point in the process) to me he can do all the things we need our point guard to do, he can shoot well, with range and using a pull up jumper, he penitrates well and finishes and dishes, He is a good leader, a winner, good pedigree, the only thing I worry about is can he play D in the NBA, if he can I’d jump at taking him. How he does in workouts against the other point guards is something I’m looking forward to seeing.

I agree that Adams will be a big riser, I also think Hardaway Jr and Rice Jr will rise, Crabbe & Bullock look like risers to me but not as high as the before mentioned players. Workouts will be interesting and fun.
Kadji looked good and performed well at the combine but his age may keep him back. I’m not sure about Saric , some are real high on him and some are down on him, I don’t think he’ll go as high as some think.
Giannis is one of my favorites in this draft but it wouldn’t surprise me if he doesn’t get drafted until the 20’s somewhere. I’d love to see the Jazz get him at 21.

    Who should the Jazz draft?
IMO the Jazz priorities should be point guard , then if they don’t bring back Big Al or Milsap they will need a big, drafting a big that could be helpfull may require they use the 14th pick on a big and hope Larkin, Schroder, or Kabongo are still there at 21. If the Jazz could bring Tomic over and not have to go for a big, I would hope they would then go for a long , athletic 3 that can create for himself and his teammates and Giannis seems like a good fit to me. Other possibilites would be good shooting wings like Hardaway Jr , Rice Jr, or Crabbe.

On draft night are Myck Kabongo, Jamaal Franklin, Archie Goodwin, Glen Rice Jr and
    Giannis Adetokoubo.

Myck Kabongo stock will rise during workouts, his ability to run the point will be shown, most GMs will buy into his potential as a Point Guard. Also, being listed as a legit 6’3 will only increase his stock, because most people thought he was 6’1 at most. Myck might be the best Point Guard in the draft, but due to only playing 11 games affected his stock. Team like Utah at 21 and New York at 24 might be interested in his service.

Jamaal Franklin have good size for the 2 guard position in the league. Jamaal is tough and toughest is what some team like the Hawks, Milwaukee and Celtics need to add. Atlanta would be a good fit, they need a 2 guard like Jamaal who have steal of the draft written all over him.

Archie Goodwin, the young man was consider a lottery all year long from numerous draft site and as of late he’s not #smh. Archie is clearly a first round pick. This kid is young in age and have the skills to be really special. Here are some facts about this kid and the top incoming freshmen guards that are consider top players in the Class of 2013. Archie is 1 month older than Wayne Selden and 2 months older than the Harrison twin. This kid clearly have time to grow as a player and a little bit in height. Archie got perfect size for the 2 guard position in the NBA. Teams like Utah at 14, Atlanta at 17, LA Clippers at 25, OKC at 29 as potential spot for him in the NBA.

Glen Rice Jr. a player with solid experience on the college level and d-league level. He have excellent size for the league. His experience will out do many of these college guys in workouts. Jamaal and Rice Jr could go down as the steal of the draft, if they slip to far.

Giannis Adetokoubo is going to be lottery pick with the hype he have being receiving over the past month. He might even go in the Top 5. Archie and Giannis are both young with good potential. Giannis is 4 months younger than Archie. Giannis hype is real. There is something special about these young athletics born in 1994 and1995 that I appreciate as a Basketball fan. Giannis is in that special age group and there is good talent from all over the world from places like Australia, Canada, Europe and the African Countries. Giannis workouts might even consider him going first. If Bismack Biyombo can go 7th, this guy can go Top 5 or even 1st overall in a draft that’s consider weak. NBA History, there have never been a weak draft since the one and done rule.
