Are you kidding me. Has anyone seen the Bulls picks in todays mock draft, it is ridiculous. They have Stephen Curry as the Bulls first 1st round choice. I would rather have Tyreke Evans and Derrick Rose clash for a bit then to see him in a red and black jersey. The other pick does make sense though as they have the Bulls taking Terrence Williams with the 26th overall pick, which imo is a steal.
I would rather see them get BJ Mullens at the 15th pick and have Brad Miller teach him the ropes then to have the Bulls dishing out 2 or more million dollars to an undersized player who is famous for one shot and cant even lead his team to the NCAA tournament, and they have him just outside the lottery, what a joke!
Why the change Thabeet had a pretty solid tournament. I am a huge fan of Thabeet and an even bigger Jordan Hill fan but why did they switch places?
I am also a fan of Hasheem Thabeet. I like his style of play although it seemed like he had a hard time getting back on defense a couple times against Michigan St. I havent seen Hill play much so I dont know why they wouldve switched places.
I can't believe this site still has Tyreke going as low as 17. I checked his stats and compared them to Dwayne Wade's as a freshman at Marquette and Evans' stats were only slightly inferior to Wade, overall, IMO. They played in the same conference, so it's as close to apples-to-apples as you can get considering the 7 year gap in time. Both played on good teams with decent supporting casts.
Tyreke will be able to take just about anyone off the dribble in the NBA. He may not be a very good shooter right now, but shooting and can be learned. What he has (strength, quickness, body control, good size for a guard who can handle the ball) can't be taught.
In a draft this weak, he should go in the lottery without a doubt.
Yea i have no clue why Evans is so far down, every other site has him top 10 or at least lottery. I also dont know why Chicago would pick Stephen Curry either. As a Bulls fan i hate that pick. I agree BJ Mullens should be our pick and then the late 1st should be either DaJuan Summers or Terrence Williams. How about Wayne Ellington going all the way up to the lottery...I think thats a bit high for him. I see him as a 15-25th pick guy.
I think with the strong NCAA tournament he shot up but if he did go as low as you said then I wouldnt mind seeing the Bulls pick him up
Yeah I have no idea how Ellington got that high just because he won tournament MVP? He's a role player in the mold of a Courtney Lee. And he won't even reach that success unless he plays with a talented big ala Dwight Howard. And I have Tyreke Evans ahead of guys like Chase Budinger in the lottery in my mock draft. This latest mock draft is pretty weird.
He might not be a bad replacement for Ben Gordon. Personally, I'd rather have Jeff Teague for that role, but both would be successfull off-the-bench guards for the Bulls. Also, if I remeber correctly, this site (along with most others) don't start taking team needs into consideration untill the draft order is set (at least). So they aren't saying the Bulls will take Steph Curry, just that right now he is their 16th ranked draft prospect.
In no way shape or form will he be a "good replacement for Ben Gordon". Curry is turnover prone and I dont care if they dont take team needs yet. My point was why are players a lot better than him on much tougher teams and schedules getting drafted below him.
Yea, i agree the team needs arent really in this. Stephen Curry is weak. I see him being a better Eddie House.Wayne Ellington in the lottery is a joke lol but anyways Bulls need BJ Mullens.
At least Steph Curry isn't going to call $10 mil a year an "insult." Steph will also actually pass the ball to someone when they are open, which BG seems to have a problem with. Am also guessing Curry would be willing to come off the bench just like BG should.
Yea, I agree with deuce, I don't think team needs are being taking into account yet in these mocks, they are just listed in order of top prospects or whatever. From past experience, they usually take team needs into account after they do the lottery order in May. So we shouldn't be placing too much stock yet in Stephen Curry going to the Bulls or something like that.
