BKKnicksfanParticipantCan I ask this? What did LeBron do that we won’t do? I mean, honestly. LeBron James did one thing wrong really, the decision. That’s it, and even then, I don’t remember the uproar. If anything, I respect him for leaving to win. I don’t remember ANYONE ripping Amar’e Stoudemire for leaving the Suns for the Knicks, a team that was in the lotto that year. Wouldn’t it make more SENSE to rip Stoudemire for taking money, instead of LeBron wanting rings?
Also, I didn’t have a problem with his comments after game 6 pretty much telling people to go fuck themselves. Tell me how those comments were wrong? After 10 months of constant attacks, constant jokes about his mom, his girl and his hairline, you expect him to say "You doubters are right, I lost?" NO! Any real man would tell you to go fuck yourself and that’s what LeBron did.
Also, let’s give some respect to Chris Bosh. I thought him crying showed he cared, it showed something that Miami didn’t show all series: HEART. Say what you want, Bosh balled this series.

larbear260Participanthe only scored 17.8 ppg in the finals (5th highest average among finals players)
amare stoudemire left phoenix for a totally different reason, he wanted to be the man, not steve nashs wingman

BKKnicksfanParticipantAlright, he had a terrible series. I agree with you on that. But were a year now with this LeBron hate. Also, my dude Wade wasn’t balling that last two games either.
Also, Stoudemire left to be the man….on a previous losing team that had NO chance to win the title.

larbear260Participantdefinitly agree that the suns had no chance at a title, they were fading fast….Wade hasnt been playing well but because he has a ring and a finals mvp he doesnt get as much hate

BKKnicksfanParticipantSo a ring says you can decide when you show up? I mean, people tried to throw Wade over LeBron because of 4 games. It blew my mind

Chilbert arenasParticipantThat entire preseason celebration was another thing that people were worked up about, but even then it wasn’t those guys putting that thing together, it was Heat representatives and their dumb ass PR people, but it still rubbed everyone the wrong way saying that they were going to win 6,7,8 championships before they had a practice. And as a Suns fan I was pissed about Amare leaving, but he had injury concerns for the future that the Suns weren’t sure about giving him so much guaranteed money five years from now. I for one trust the Suns medical staff, but I also know we have one of the cheapest owners in sports, sorry Nash.

bobbybParticipantHe left Phoenix because his last 2 years had minutes requirements. Had nothing to do with Nash>

Memphis MadnessParticipantBosh showed heart which is great. LeBron didn’t so he gets ripped.
LeBron wasn’t the best player in this series and the Heat weren’t the best team.LeBron needs to expand his game and grow up. If he does that and plays with class then all
of the basketball fans will show respect and support.LeBron was overhyped by the media and others and I guess he bought into his own hype.
LeBron celebrates without winning anything and that ticks people off. They are gonna win “5, 6, 7 championships”???

juves4783Participantwhy all the hate for amare? he signed with the knicks expecting them to snatch up another big name superstar. to say amare left purely for money is nuts, he tried to sell lebron on the knicks; but it didn’t work out.
lebron sunk his own ship. he did the decision and then he made that stupid speech about winning like 10 titles. i’ve never seen a more likable guy sink so fast. couple that with his play in this years and last years losing series and he just doesn’t seem like he’s too interested in being in clutch situations.

The White MambaParticipantLebron is gunna show up posesed next year and shit will go down

BKKnicksfanParticipantLeBron wasn’t the best player in this series and the Heat weren’t the best team.
– But that entire series was a momentum series.
LeBron needs to expand his game and grow up. If he does that and plays with class then all
– What’s playing with Class? Also, he did expand his game to a point
LeBron was overhyped by the media and others and I guess he bought into his own hype.
– In what way?
LeBron celebrates without winning anything and that ticks people off. They are gonna win "5, 6, 7 championships"???
– What the difference between this, and someone at a press conference signing with a teaming saying they hope to win multiple championships?

IndianaBasketballParticipantI can see both sides of the Stoudemire argument.
In one hand, he left a team that went to the Western Conference Finals. How stupid, right?
But on the other hand, he had a unique opportunity to change around a famous team that had been losers for some time. The chance to play in the Garden. And yes… Of course the chance to get paid max money. You can’t be mad at him for that.
Regardless, I don’ think his situation is even similar to LeBron’s. LeBron could’ve left and joined any team he wanted, but the problem came when he decided to act so arrogant. Fans didn’t respond well to it. LeBron isn’t a criminal or anything like that, but he still rubbed a ton of fans the wrong way. And he’s continued to follow that up with more arrogant things.
And even though LeBron backed up off of his comments after game six, I thought what he said was crazy. But I wasn’t surprised he said it. It fits right in with "I spoil my fans" and all of the other stuff he’s said. It just fits right in with the whole arrogance thing and doesn’t make him look good. I understand he’s been a big star since he was in high school, but they grew up poor. I don’t understand how he isn’t more humble and grounded.
I’ve never seen a player hurt his own image as much as LeBron has… And that’s without even doing something criminal.

IndianaBasketballParticipantAnd I had no problem with Chris Bosh crying over losing. Losing hurts.
However, I just wish he was more mentally tough. I watched all of the post game press conferences and Bosh just strikes me as someone who isn’t very mentally tough. Maybe it’s the whole situation with his daughter. I don’t know… He just seems very fragile up top.

Chilbert arenasParticipantBecause they had an arena filled with a Lady Gaga-esq concert style introduction and dancing around press conference in which they never said "hope to win multiple championships." I don’t mind LeBron, but that’s what people got so mad about. I get mad at him because he doesn’t have a post-up game whatsoever so Dallas felt comfortable having Jason Kidd, Jason Terry and JJ Barea guard him. In my opinion that’s pathetic. But I’m not going to lose sleep over it. The LeBron talk is beating a dead horse these days, I’m over it.

JNixonParticipantLebron needs a real PR person. He needs to stop running with his HS friends as much and listening to their advice when it comes to PR stuff. Lebron seems like a genuinely nice person to me, but the things he does (The Decision, for example) rub people the wrong way. I think he knew that everyone wanted to know where he was going, so his folks told him it would be a good idea to have a "Decision" and use the money from that to donate so everyone wins right? Didn’t turn out that way. I seriously doubt Lebron thought it all the way through, and that why it seems like he basically sh*tted on Cavs fans and the whole city of Cleveland. I doubt he intended for it to go that way, but that’s how it looks. It looks arrogant, but I think he just wanted to play on the attention his free agency was getting. Alot of the things he does gets overblown and he gets made out to be a villian far too much, and most of it is do to how he handles PR. He’s not a bad guy, and he seems like he cares about what people think (which definitely is a gift and curse, especially for someone as known as he is), but sometimes he just doesn’t think things through all the way and it makes him look like he’s an *sshole. I honestly hope he gets a ring soon, cause it’s REAL lame and annoying that people are making these horrible jokes about him. None of them are really funny.

JNixonParticipant"And I had no problem with Chris Bosh crying over losing. Losing hurts."
I had no problem with the crying part either, but man. That man literally put the palm of his hand in his face and slowly brought his hand down slowly while he wiped his tears away. He looked REAL faggish doing that, one of the gayer things I’ve seen in my life too at post-game speed.

IndianaBasketballParticipantLmao… Yea, it was comedy the way he did all of that. I said to myself, "If he doesn’t get his ass up…"

IndianaBasketballParticipantThis LeBron hate is crazy though. Even the mayor or govenor of Ohio jumped in on it. This is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
I wonder when it’ll die down? IF it’ll die down?
