valentineI cannot think of a player that plays similar to Muhammad in the NBA, not even close.
I’m not feeling the MKG comparison, much less the James Harden one.
Who do you think he plays similar to?…as far as play style?
*Take into account his handles are almost nonexistent.0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 5:10pm #745478
LindseyParticipantGood question. I’ve never been too stoked on those comparisons either. I definitely see him as a jack of all trades, master of none. Probably going to do most of his work as a slasher coming off ball screens, as he won’t do much 1 on 1 to start and he’s pretty strong. Only one I can really think of at least offensively is young Ron Artest in regards to how he’ll get buckets his first couple years, obviously more athletic though. Thats not a defensive comparison though.

Chilbert arenasParticipantI like the JR Rider comparison but I agree he’s a hard player to pin at this point…. but for real there is a thread about Oladipo and Bazz comarisons everyday.

Kyrie IrvingI just don’t understand how he can be compared to MKG. MKG could take it coast to coast with his head up looking for teams mates, maybe hit you with a euro step. MKG wasn’t looking to spot up. MKG barely ever took those 1-2 pull ups…. the comparison is off base.

Ghost01ParticipantI think until Muhammad shows any play making, game controlling, and overall passing skills, he has no business being compared to Harden.

Chilbert arenasParticipantJack of all trades? What is he good at besides scoring? He doesn’t pass the ball, at .9ast, doesn’t defend at a high level at less than 1 steal and less than 1 block. Ánd under 5 rebounds a game. He’s really only out there to score. And is a good athlete but not a great athlete by NBA standards.

LindseyParticipantI feel you hibachi. to be honest, my whole post was analyzing/comparing his scoring game, because that WILL be what he brings to a team. And he is stunningly average in ever scoring department. Jumpshot, midrange, finishing, athleticism, pretty strong build, with weak shot creation and handles.
Jack of all, master of none.

HotSnotParticipantI got negged for suggesting this a few months ago… but I’m sticking with it, points be dammed.
Bazz reminds me of a smaller Luol Deng. (not saying they look the same) but build type, the way they move, deceptive game style to a certain degree. Flawed in some area’s, strong in others.
Bring on the neg’s!!!

omphalosParticipantSomeone threw out a Barnes comparison and I think it’s probably the most accurate on closer inspection.
Great off-the-ball guy, defends his man well even if the stats don’t reflect that, he is a good offensive rebounder, struggles somewhat to create his own shot, streaky shooter but still manages to step up in the big moments and likes to post up smaller defenders as a wing player.
He lacks the athleticism of Barnes – especially in terms of elevation – but he’s also more powerful.
It cracks me up that people always go immediately to other left-handed players (like Harden) just like white players are usually compared to white players.

Kyrie IrvingFunny enough, Barnes was getting the Deng and Pierce comparison as well.
I like the Barnes comparison much more than the MKG one for Bazz.0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/07/2013 - 8:44pm #745544
river09ParticipantThe way he plays reminds of of a inch shorter version of Paul Pierce who never looks to pass… Doesn’t blow by defenders or elevate over them, but gets just the space he needs to get his shot off effortlessly.. The passing will come too..

shonu44ParticipantI said long ago that the MKG and Harden comparsion was way off base. Bazz is a tweener with on class. Bazz is a good player with way to much hype. He is a one handed one dimensional player. People talk about his work ethic and how he has this great motor. I call bs on both. This board is starting to get it right by seeing Bazz for what he is. Bazz is not a top 5 pick IMO.
