I dont make as many posts as i use to..But i still come on here to check this site out each day to see what the fellas have to say about whats going on the Basketball Universe..
ANd by the way McD's gifs made this site more fun..I dont know how many posters have said they became memebers becuz they saw McDunkin's GIFs....

Also, I don't think any good will come out of this. It's been done several times before and a lot of feelings get hurt.
I couldn't come up with a criticism for torontoraptors10 anyway. Seems like a really smart poster from what I've read of his.
What's next Sandusky touching??? This is what I talk about all the time... Its very few posters on here who have credible basketball knowledge, the rest is just schlong riders... Why must I see ANOTHER popularity post??? The fawk wrong with yall??
I know I'm not involved in your little roast thingy, but seriously? Like really? Like yall don't get out very much, do you? I mean, if you wanna go through and talk about eachother and joke around about meaningless bull&$#%#&@!tt, thats your right. But I'm not about that life. This is a website to discuss basketball, quit the popularity contests and start talking basketball. You guys think BTPH is an ass, but the guy constantly posts BASKETBALL related stuff, and doesn't get involved in your little jokester, immature, high school hallway bull&$#%#&@!t. Thats probably why yall dont like him anyway.

No i dont actually, unfortunately i dont have that right anymore......i could care less about popularity contest i joke around on this site because its something to do. I have no problem with anybody and i do post about basketball when im not posting random sh!t the thing is the people who do it know how to do it in the off topic section. Even though your post most likely had nothing to do with me..maybe others like the mix between basketball and joking around instead of people posting about the same crap over and over again(whos the top 5 nba players, so and so is overated, this dude this great 2 weeks over.) you guys say talk about basketball but their are actually only a few of you who talk about stuff that hasnt been discussed about 100x in the same day with half of the remaining people unable to back up their claim other then calling the other guy an idiot or a$$hole. Anyway im thinking of making a thread within the next few minutes that maybe will be a little more interesting.

He's probably the only user on this site who I read every post he makes. Because he's always spitting knowledge. You read one of his posts, and you're smarter at the end of it.
I don't always agree with what he says but at least he has a point that I can respect... Dude doesn't skim the page dislike what you said and gives a thumbs down, then click on a new post... He actually try and prove his point...
Nobody is saying stop the jokes... I actually think some of the ish is funny... I just believe if you going to give someone a thumbs down state your reason with credible evidence... Just like you do in the flesh... So do yall have real convo's outside of this site about sports??? If so when someone states something you don't like, do you just say NAW! And walk away??? Basically same thing here... Stop being a coward... That's why people say ish like yall don't know ish, because we can't tell... Majority of yall are Captain Obvious when it comes to posts, like the rest of the world don't feel the same way... Then you have the ball clappers behind them agreeing with the same ish everyone else knows is true... Smh... I just think the Point System should be taken down so when you disagree with someone you ACTUALLY type why...
And Every 2 weeks is another post about posters... Ish wack...
Other than trolls, I don't really have a problem with anything anybody does on here... I mean, it's whatevever. I do think some of the threads about jokes, pictures and a bunch of nothing are lame though... I just come to talk ball and debate.
I've noticed a lot of people on here get sensitve when something that isn't the general opinion or the obvious is pointed out to them. I think that's why people can't stand BTPH... It's because he's always going against the grain and pointing out something that isn't seen by most people.
I Agree that Both Teams Played Hard is a Good Poster..But sometimes he seems to love disagreeing with someone just for the sake of it....I remember him arguing with me when i said Arnett Moultrie would be the best pro prospect off that UTEP team a few years ago and he said it will be Randy Culpepper..lol.......
But i like Both Teams Played Hard,he's not like alot of other guys that follow everything the top posters say....
Even the people who claim they do not have a problem with anybody, I am not so sure about that one. Have gotten into it with a lot of people, usually because of things that would be squashed in a second if we talked in person. I find if someone has constructive questions or criticism, I am all for it. When I made my "Roast" post, it was genuinely good natured (at least I tried to be) and I tried not to be too hard on anyone. Some people liked it, some took it personal. Usually what happens when I post in general, lol.
Basically, I would have no problem with this concept, but would want it to be in the "Off-Topic" section instead of the "NBA Draft" section. Truly think that the main board should be used for talking legitimate basketball. I come here to talk basketball, but if I see something that can be questioned or improved, I am not afraid to speak my voice. Wins me as many friends as it does enemies. I could flat out stay out of things or just make general statements rather than give opinion, but that is not me and not what I really like reading.
I am definitely wrong at times, usually not to afraid to admit it. Also, if I feel that I cross the line, I have enough pride to apologize and I forgive pretty easily. Felt I have not always been given the same courtesy, but on the whole I have a lot of posters I am cool with on this site. Most posters, I would say, as long as you have an open mind and a will to improve, maybe even learn.
As far as BTPH goes, he is one of my favorite posters. It takes a lot for him to give another poster credit or admit that he is wrong, but I do not think any poster has made me think of things differently the way he has. It is refreshing and I genuinely enjoy debating with him, though it can at times look ugly. I have been wrong, he hasn't, but life goes on :). Will say, he knows his basketball and he highlights things that tend to be absolutely legitimate, even if they may be controversial or not fully agreed upon by the general consensus. If people want specific examples of when he has been dead on, can definitely name a number of things that have impressed the h-e-double hockey sticks out of me (just wanted to see that written out).
One thing I dislike, just in general, is when someone asks a question that you respond to, than never writes back counter questions. ProudGrandpa, you fit into this category right now. Jake, you are an improved poster and have a lot of passion, even if more of it is about documenting board garbage (not necessarily all bad garbage, just kind of "Off-Topic" stuff. Though I appreciate your main use of the board for which it applies) rather than basketball.
You obviously seem to have a passion for sports, you went to Journalism Camp for Tebow's sake. Would be nice to see you put that to use more on here rather than constantly looking to get into the "cool group". Not that I am in that group, though I do think some of my acquaintances on this board are cool posters. But, I became acquaintances with them through talking basketball, not just talking about other posters that talk about basketball.

I dont see whats wrong with this. 2 of them are about nbadraft.net, 1 is about girl trouble which we all love when leroy jenkins does it, 1 is nba related, and 1 is calling you out for being a d1ck.
BTPH is one of the best posters on this site. I think why people don't like him is because he's realistic, straight to the point and isn't afraid to speak his mind. I think people feel threatened by that and I don't know why. As long as you say something, back it up with facts and not opinion.

So I thought that, every so often, I (or someone else) would make a thread about a specific, note-worthy poster. We all talk about that guy, and that guy only. Sort of roast-like, and that poster is free to respond to all criticisms.
I think this would be a good vehicle for all the users to offer their opinions on each of the more notable posters and we can see where we all stand.
Another self-glorification, ego-sucking thread? Perhaps. But I think it'd be interesting.
