LiL Wayne says Lebron & Wade ar Ignoring him..
Since were in the topic of Weezy, has anyone seen his latest video with Birdman called "Fire Flame"? That video just made me sick and shows how ignorant their music is, they were burning dollar bills on the video, and here we are struggling as a nation during the recession. I hate Lil Wayne and his whole movement.

living in the UK the only hip hop that gets here is mainstream s h i t with autotuning and chicks singin etc and unless you dig deep to find some real music thats what you're stuck with. Ask people bout Outkast and their first memories are Hey Ya and Roses... they aint claimin true!!!

I can understand why people may dislike Lil Wayne, but their should be no doubting his entertainment value. Weezy is just something else. And Weezy said this awhile ago that was his fuel for the song 6'7. And you are not a fan of hip hop if you can't appreciate this song. Weezy's wordplay and the way he warps his lyrics around the beat are what make him one of the hottest artists in the world today. Here is my gift to you, all I ask is for 5 minutes put all bias and hate aside and just enjoy pure talent and creativity.
And McDunkin you gotta be happy that Lil B finally got a Major deal..
I respect other hip hop artist and their way to express their art, even tho I wasnt a fan of his music, I still respected Wayne's art and his expression. HOWEVER, expressing and art form such as burning dollar bills is out of line, people value money so much that burning dollar bills on a video is no different than burning a cross (atleast in my eyes). I had some respect for Wayne, but after that "Fire Flame" video, he's lost all my respect towards him as an artist.
I might get a lot of negatives for this, but I'm a HUGE Weezy fan. He's my favorite rapper. I probably like him a lot unlike many of you because I'm a young guy. I was born in 1996 and wasn't around or wasn't hip to the music during the so called "Golden Age" of hip-hop. I'm "New School" while many of you are "Old School". But to me, Weezy is one of the best lyricist in the game.
As for the actual situation, I'm glad LeBron and Wade are ignoring him. They have to stay focused on the game no matter what. During that Kobe vs. Chris Rock thing, I was very impressed with Kobe because he blocked out everything that didn't have to do with the game, and didn't let anything faze him. I said if LeBron was in that situation, he would've been cracking up. Well, he's proving me wrong.

The thing is, his Music SELLS, He Makes MONEY Hes More SUCCESSFUL than any of you will ever be in your lifetime. And the thing is, people have different styles, you may like drake, or kid cudi, maybe pac or big L. Obviously alot of people like Lil Waynes Music and thats what matters. If you dont like him, then dont listen to him but you dont need to hate him. And sometimes you just have to put all your bias,opinions aside and actually LISTEN to the music. If you still dont like it, then alright, move on and listen to the kind of music you like. But you dont have to say his music is garbage because if hes selling more, making more than any other artist right now, then obviously his music is nowhere near garbage.

I'm not a HUGE Lil Wayne fan, but I can't even hate. The dude dropped an album from prison and it's sold 692,000 copies... And that's just in the US.
Youre talking about how ignorant Lil Wayne is, the thing is, He MADE it Hes Succesful. He came up from nothing. Being a poor kid with no dad and now being who he is. He is just enjoying his life nothing wrong with that. And hes making money and theres never anything wrong with that.

Wayne is a New Orleans residents who lost his home in Katrina, Go listen to the song Tie My Hands if you want to hear where his real heart is at and the extent of his range as an artists.

Wayne was on the frontlines when Katrina hit and gave a lot of money towards the rebuilding efforts so all you people talking about people needing financial help actually agree with Weezy then. He is not as ignorant as you think, he is just an off the wall act. He put all the work in and deserves every penny he has earned thru hard work. Name another artists that has put out as much FREE MUSIC as Wayne has. When the Carter III leaked he gave the album away for FREE FOR HIS FANS and just simply made another version of it. So come of with some actual facts for a reason to give this man this much hate.
And as for the metaphor i posted above apparently you people have no clue about what a double entendre is. Yes i did spell that wrong. But the line was not meant to mean that everybody is beneath him. It was a double metaphor that symbolizes his work in fact goes over your head making his music above you.
And i'm from Philly and anybody who follows hip hop knows that Gillie Da Kid did indeed help Wayne write the first Carter and taught him about swag and metaphors. But Wayne has become something even greater since GDK left the camp.
Yea... I can't think of another artist who gives away as much free music as he does. He releases mixtapes that are better than most albums.

You don't get it bro. Regardless whether the money that was being burned on the video is real or computer generated, the message that he is sending is ignorance. This is the same as burning a cross to me, because people are starving these days because of money, and he shows absolute no remorse by sending such ugly message. Lil Wayne is a hypocrite and contradicted himself on his latest video. His people (New Orleans) went thru a tragedy that was Katrina, and their hero is on TV burning money, but yet he says he cares about the victims of Katrina, if that's not contradiction then I don't know what is. His music doesn't bother me, it's just his latest video that I have lost profound respect.
Wouldn't you say any rapper signed to a record label and selling records has "made it". It doesn't make their music good, most mainstream music is absolute garbage. That's what Lil Wayne has turned into, a mainstream artist. Yes going mainstream is a better way to make money in the industry. You drop a couple of catchy hooks and get the mainstream goons to buy in and you're making millions. But to say he's some great artist b/c he's "made it" makes no sense. His early music is way better than his sh*t today.

although i appreciate the significance of that song i dont think pulling out a collab with Robin Thicke is the way to open my eyes to Weezys intricacy. Tune is brass. And Thicke has that 'generic white man' croon sort of voice.. dollar a dozen.
