I ask the BBall Gods to PLEASE give Minny the #1 Overall so they can ship Rubio
1.Minnesota
2.Sacramento
3.Toronto
1.Cavs
2.Bobcats
3. Jazz
I think this is a 1 player draft (Irving, not sold on Kanter) ergo the TWolves will be #2.
1. Cavs
2. Wolves
3. Raptors
1. Cavs
2. Jazz
3. Wizards
memphis tyga23,
I wonder how much Rubio can get in a trade. He has been underwhelming in Europe this year. The bad part is his upside might be a slower version of Rajon Rondo. I am not sure I would trade Jimmer Fredette for him straight up. Jimmer is a great shooter and I am sure he could get 3 or 4 assists a game in Spain. Would you want Jimmer's shooting and basic passing skills or Rubio's supposed defense and fancy passes? They are both slow with Rubio looking a little taller and Jimmer looking a little stronger.
What is the ideal situation for Rubio? I am not really sure.
I would like to see the T-Wolves getting the second pick with Irving going 1st to a team that really needs him. Then I think the best thing for Minny to do would be to draft Derrick Williams (him and Love would be GREAT at the forward spots with both being very good rebounders and 3 point shooters with Williams being the better athlete and shot blocker and Love being the better passer). Then they can keep Rubio since he will now have a great athlete to pass to on fast breaks (Derrick Williams aka D-Will 2.0). A Love to Rubio to Williams fast break would be sweet with Love hauling in the rebound and throwing the outlet to Rubio who throws Williams a nifty alley-oop for a dunk. With Rubio throwing up bricks from any spot outside 12 feet, Love's rebounding numbers will soar. I can also see Rubio and Love playing a nice game of pick and pop together with Love setting the screen for Rubio then stepping back for a jumper.
I think that a Love-Williams-Rubio trio would be the best fit for Rubio. Love could pad his rebounding totals while Rubio could pad his assist totals. And Derrick Williams could pad his number of wide open dunks that he makes slightly more complicated then they have to be.
Other than the no-brainer Williams pick, the T-Wolves could also make the no-brainer trade by sending Beasley to any team that wants him for some help in the backcourt. I am not really sure that Love and Beasley are athletic enough up front. Williams can also be a premier finisher that I don't think Beasley can be. Anthony Randolph could come in for either starting forward.
They can then draft Biyombo at 20 if he falls or package the 20th pick and Beasley for Bismack Biyombo. Because anytime you can put Rubio and Bismack on the same team you have to do it.
Lots of upside on that team. Should be very fun to watch at the very least. They would be very versatile up front with Love, Williams, Randolph, Bismack, and Darko. Rubio and Wes Johnson would be a promising backcourt. I think Rubio would be a good point guard who can get all those guys shots. If they keep Flynn they might want to then move Ridnour for a shooter (Rudy Fernandez?).
Acquiring Williams (draft), Biyombo (draft or trade), and Rudy Fernandez (trade) would be a great draft night for the Timberwolves. That would give Rubio a good fit and it would let them move Beasely for some players who would fit in better with Love.
PG: Rubio, Flynn SG:Wes Johnson,Wayne Ellington
SF: Derrick Williams, Rudy Fernandez (also at SG) PF: Love, Anthony Randolph (also at 3) C: Biyombo (also at 4), Darko
I like that lineup for the T-Wolves. Very versatile with a lot of upside.
What do you guys think?
Have no clue but they should focus on Kyrie as the starter & keep Flynn for production of the bench. They need a solid backup PG so moving Flynn would be moving 2 steps backwards because no one knows if Kyrie will ever re-injure that toe.
I wonder who will be crowned Mr. "I Predict The Future" for getting all 3 right.
1. Kings
2. Wizards
3. T'Wolves
1. Kings
2. Wizards
3. T'Wolves
This is absolutely pointless! Why are we predicting the seceltion order when there are 5,000 senarios! I am against even making mocks until the selection order comes out.
I like how people gave plus and minuses over people's predictions on what random ping pong balls are drawn. lol.
I wonder how many negatives someone would have gotten if they predicted the Bulls getting the #1 pick in 08'?
well i have the Bobcats going from 9 to 2, that post is not in bad shape at least right now
Going outside the box..
1.Utah...think they luck up and get #1
2.Wizards...
3. Cavs
1. Cavs (Dan Gilberts son will provide luck)
2. Minny
3. Toronto
1. Kings
2. Toronto
3. Cleveland
bumping this just cuz
KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHN!
RIGGED FAWKERS!!!
WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!
Cavs with two picks in the top 4. Not bad.
Sac-town gets hosed again. 7th pick. Lol nice...cuz we totally didn't need Knight, Irving, or Derrick williams. We needed everything below that. I guess there is a chance we'll pick up Kemba. Hopefully it works out I guess.
Im so pissed right now...Wolves better win this fing thing!
Lotto is f*cking FIXED! Yea I said it courtesy of David Stern!
Yeah today is the official day I start my mock draft. And the official start of my 60 Prospects in 30 Days threads! I was awaiting the lotto results for a while.

In four days the NBA draft Lottery will happen at halftime of the Mavs vs. OKC/Griz game.
My question is; can anyone predict who will get the top three selections in the correct order?
My guess is:
1. Cavs
2. Wizards
3. Kings
