Manu Out

"According to my sources", Spurs guard Manu ginobli is out for 10-14 with a strained left hamstring. Could the Spurs start to transition out of the ginobli era sooner rather then later? He hasn't been reliable for the past two seasons ansFather Time has taken him.

It's unfortunate he can't

It's unfortunate he can't seem to stay healthy for a long period of time, but it's evident that Manu is getting old. I would like for the Spurs to eventually figure out how to win without him (Maybe Nando De Colo is next in line to pick up Manu's slack), but for now, they will continue to ride out the season with a top seed in the Playoffs. Just expect lots of rest in the final quarter of the season for Manu.

Really, Stern?

I understood why he did it the first time around, but during the final 5-10 games of the season? ALL teams rest their star players for pre-playoff rest.

82 games for a season, plus playoffs is a huge amount of games.... I am around the same age as these guys - Manu, Tim, Garnett etc and in my heart I would love to play two or three times per week, but my body just can't take it...

I dont' know another bball league where they play so many games ? Most leagues play 20-30 games per season plus finals/playoffs
