I remember I had him ranked high because I knew he would be able to score on the NBA level.  He may wind up being the rookie with the highest scoring average especially if NJ starts him.  The jury is still out on Shumpert  but maybe Knicks could have taken Brooks.

I know a lot of teams are rethinking their picks about now.

Shumpert fits with the Knicks better, they don’t need more scoring they need an athletic defender who can also create for others… in other words, Iman Shumpert.

I am disappointed the Celtics didn’t take him though, he would have been a steal and might just have kept them relevant with a scoring punch off the bench this season.

I agree Boston was dumb to give him up.  The Knicks could have bought another pick and got both.  Brooks have been scoring off the bench.  You can never have too much bench scoring.  They could have then traded Fields and Douglas for a legit starting point guard.  I like Douglas but unless he can play the two spot, he is not what they need.

Fields to me would make a better small forward because his ball handling skill need work.

Howard is probably not going there.  I think ATL should try to trade Marvin Williams, Al Holford and some 1st round picks to get Dwight.  Finding a small forward is a lot easier than finding a Center.

    Atl could then start

    Howard C

    Smith PF

    Radmonovic SF

    Joe Johnson sg

    Teague Pg

Radmonovic should get open 3’s like Anderson is getting now in Orlando.

Howard and Smith would have a block part on defense.

Joe Johnson would be the all around player and Teague would bring the speed.

They would not give up much of their bench that has a rejuvenated T Mac.

Imagine if Minny pressure by the unknown traded Rubio.  Man that dude is showing that he is the real deal.  I also wish they have a full season because with more time and getting to know his teammate with summer league, all the rookies would have been better.

This shows that the theory of players on bad teams are overrated is false.  I dont even know why people brought it up because he shot well from the field and got to the line in college plus while Providence was bad overall they were a great offensive team.

Dude was killing my Hawks today, said a few weeks ago he was my ROTY pick. Avery Johnson needs to start him and D-Will not Gaines, not Morrow, not Stevenson. Marshon is a true scorer and that is something the Nets desperately need right now.

If you talking about D12 not going to the nets, then i agree, i already knew we weren’t going to get any superstars in the lebron "sweepstakes", melo, or d12. In fact I actually didn’t even want deron williams. I wanted the nets to build through the draft, develop Favors(who is making nets look like f@cking idiots) and brook lopez and move foward. Now were stuck in a situation were there going to blow for the next 5 years because there roster is basically the equalivance to a dleague team. Thats embarrassing as hell especially for New Jersey fans who have to put up with this Sh!t in their last days in the state. I already knew this was going to blow up in their faces, Patience is key and now they have to live with the repercusions. Im definately not going to be a brooklyn fan, and i seriously doubt anyone else would considering the organization treated the fans like sh!t the last 4 years with their greedy former owner(talking about Ratner) and these bogus move.

On the other D12 in Atl would be pretty cool since hes from there, They definate would have to throw in atleast holford, williams, and probably even josh smith. doubt they would want johnson as he is getting older and his max contract would weigh them down.

ATL would not give up more than 2 of their starters.  Al Holford is a all star and Marvin Williams is solid with potential.  They add 2 draft picks and that should be a done deal.  Look what Clippers gave up for Paul and some of those guys like Kaman can leave.

I think at the worst ATL would have to give up Josh Smith and Al Hoford and some draft picks.  That would not make as much sense though when you already have Hedo and Ryan Anderson is playing well.  Williams is versatile and can play more positions and can come off the bench with fewer problems than trying to force Smith to the bench.

    He would not be happy.

Brooks is starting now because of an injury and his play should keep him starting even when Deron Williams is back.
