Melo is a lot stronger, but Durant has a length advantage and more range. I’ll say Melo scores easier as of now.

The reason why Durant scores easier is because he needs lesser shot attempts to get his points. Never taken more then 30 shot attempts in his career in one gam but Carmelo has. Kevin’s also averaging more points then Melo this year to and Kevin’s a more efficient player then Melo.

I would take Durant, but it’s really close. They’re both so good. Durant is a little younger, though. Already is an elite scorer. I don’t know if he can be a leader like Melo, since he seems so quiet. He’ll have to learn to lead as he matures.

These are the top two players from the talent capital of basketball since 2000. Look at the list: m Melo,Rudy Gay,Delonte West,Jeff Green,Rodger Mason,Durant and Beasley a few others I left out. Back to the question. It’s Carmelo at this point he’s to strong for everysmall forward except lebron. He can score from anywere on the court, back to the basket or facing up on the post, in the mid post backing down, mid range and from behind the arc. Durant is a jump shooter and he’s not
Strong enough to post yet but when he is the answer will change. Durant will be a +50%fg,40%3pt,90%ft and lead the NBA in scoring in the near future. It would still be close if Carmelo played like he’s playing on the playoffs during the season.

I love both of these players, but melo is the most dangerous scorer in the nba b/c of the variety of ways in which he scores. Durant is extremely talented, but he doesn’t have the post game that Melo possesses b/c he isn’t strong enough yet

yeah that pisses me off every year that gary williams doesnt get them..hes isnt the best recruiter and he doesnt put awhole lot of effort into it..if we would have gotten even half of the great players that come out of there we’d have more titles..hes tsill a better coach then the overhyped other acc coaches that get at least 3 all americans every year

I agree 1000000% with what auber said lol. You take Melo in a real game, Durant maybe if your playing in a fantasy league or on a video game. Melo is the better scorer in my opinion but Durant will be a top 3 player in the league when he gets stronger. Easier said than done though.

i like melo better becuz this guy is jus smooth as hell and gets the job done. dont get me wrong durant can flat out score but melo scores in so many different ways and now that he’s adding to his game he becoming all the more tougher. melo is now playing D passing the ball and rebounding. i feel he is the 3rd best player in the league hands down
