This guy is amazing… 12 assists per game in the last 5 games…. is it possible he has some PG skill for NBA game? Anyway very intriguing, at least….

Yes, it’s more about being a point guard then racking up assists, I want to see his ability to control the tempo of the game as well. Dude is crazy talented and is me of my favorite players though

He’s the guy I hope the Jazz find a way to pick in the upcoming draft. I believe he will be a very good NBA pg.

If you liked Kendall Marshall last year, you would LOVE McW this year.

Kid is so much fun to watch and I think he has the physical tools to be a good PG in the league.

He really needs to get stronger so he can finish his drives better. If I were coaching against him I’d play him for the pass on his drives, try to bump him off his line, not bring the help as much and force him to finish.

He had a really poor game for himself today; just couldn’t get anything to go down. Ironic that he sealed the Detroit game with his free throws, is an 80% free throw shooter, and absolutely blew it at the line today.

Ah well, can’t be great all the time, and he still got into the lane at will today.

He desperately needs to improve his shooting and strength, and tighten up his handles. He dribble to high for a guy who matches up with shorter players every game. He was clearly put off by the aggressive defense of Temple, and I really worry about his field goal percentage when evaluating him as a prospect, especially when he was such a prolific score in high school. 15 pounds of muscle would serve him very well.

Now last week after I watched them against the U of detroit I said he can’t shoot, his jumper is broke, and all his shots are short…….I was then told he was “a great shooter in a slump”. He responds by not only going 3-15 fga and 0-2 3fg, he also went 7-15 from the line. Now is it really that farfetched that the guy can’t shoot?? He can play, get the the rack, dime all that…..he just can’t shoot!

Assuming you’re referring to me, I said he was a great shooter in high school. That is a fact. I said he began the season in a shooting slump. That is a fact. Before this game, he was shooting over 80% from the free throw line. That is a good percentage. Clearly he had a poor game finishing around the rim. He took maybe 5 jumpshots, 2 or 3 of which were at the end of the game when he needed to attempt 3s to close the gap. That’s going to happen from time to time with any player.

The kid could be a stud in the NBA. He’s got great court vision to go along with his size and athleticism. He needs to work on his scoring ability, I think he could be a 6’5 Rajon Rondo

I don’t think his jumper is broken. He was a good shooter in HS, shot well in small volume last yr and his form isn’t that bad at all. I just think he plays too fast at times and rushes his shots.

Of course he has PG skills for the NBA game…he kinda reminds me of less athletic Sean Livingston before the injuries…he has the potential to be a better shooter and better passer than Livingston has ever been, and his ceiling is sky-high IMO

Another very good game for MCW, he busted out of the rut the plagued him his prior 2 games.

18 points/13 assists/9 boards/2 steals on 60% FG and 75% 3pt In a blowout win. Reportedly hes been looking at film to help with his problems finishing at the rim. If he can get back to scoring efficiently while putting down 10+ assists per game then hes a lock to go top 5 IMO.

I’m a syracuse fan so I’m a little biased, but I definitely think he has enough skill to be a point guard, and if not, a solid combo guard who handles the ball a lot. Has a lot of work to do on his shooting, and as someone stated he needs to be able to establish the tempo more but otherwise I definitely like his game. Very explosive and great court vision. If he adds muscle, he could be able to defend the one, two, and maybe some three.
