I normally don’t submit a mock to critique until the ping pong balls are drawn, but I guess I’m getting impatient as a sad Bulls fan waiting for the playoffs to end.

My lottery is more or less a big board of how I have the talent ranked, because we don’t know what teams will have what pick.  So, keep in mind, team needs weren’t really factored in, except Marshall going to Pheonix.

    What do you think?

LOL..We have some of the same late round picks..I also have Henson going to the TWolves,Sidney going to the Spurs and Holloway going to the 76’ers…

I think people will regret passing over Hummel..I hear Memphis really likes him,but i’m not sure if they’ll take him in the 1st round.Maybe swing a deal with someone to select him for them in the 2nd round…

Sidney had been working out here in Florida last month..And the reports are that he’s lost 19 lbs since the end of the season…

i myself am flip flopping for between phoenix’s pick if they should take the truer point guard in Kendall Marshall or the bigger upside more athletic Tony Wroten. currently have wrotten in mine for the time being. im also wondering whose chance of being taken in the lotto is higher, Leonord or Terrence Jones? also think denver will go with back-up point guard, either with Kendall Marshall, Tony Wroten or Dion Waiters. someone who can come in and play back-up minutes right away so i ruled out teague.

@RUDEBOY, haha, yeah I knew we had the Henson pick, but I didn’t know about the others.  I heard Coach Pop really likes Sidney and thinks he could get him to reach his potential.

I heard you mention Memphis is high on Hummel, I think he is getting drafted.  There is a lot to like about his game, but I too think the 1st round is a reach.  If he hadn’t blown out his knee I think he could be late 1st, but I think that will make people question his stock.  Not to say he won’t produce, Dejuan Blair’s knees are fine and the only reason he dropped 20-30 spots a few years ago.

@benny15, I think if they had the choice they’d go for Marshall.  I’m not buying Woten as a pure PG yet, and they just went out and spent money on Shannon Brown who is a combo guard.  Woten has the potential card on his side, but I think if someone reached for him in the lottery, it wouldn’t be a wise move.  He has a lot more question marks about his game.  Woten would be a good pick for Denver at 20, though, I like that idea.

i dont think Woten is a pure point guard either, but when work-outs is all said and done, think he might be seen as a Rodeny Stuckey type prospect who jumped on the boards after the combine, individual and group work-outs. phoenix also signed shanon brown to a one year deal, so no guarantee he’ll be back next season. thats part of the reason why i think Phoenix could favor a combo guard so that they can get a player who can play the 2 if they sign aaron brooks in the off-season.

another thing im wondering about is if Philly would go with Moultrie or Henson. i mean, how much more of a prospect is Moultrie over Brackins? neither is known for defense, but are tall, long and athletic fours with a decent mid-range shot.

im also puzzled on who memphis would go for? i can see them taking a chance on teague as you have in your mock, but at the same time wondering if he’ll be as much of a prospect as Josh Selby, especially since they still have Jeremy Pargo on contract for next season. with both Arthur and Speights entering free agency and the grizzlies looking to avoid the luxury tax, would they use their 1st round pick taking a ready to contribute power forward such as Kevin Jones or  Drew Gordon?

    Good obvervations.

I picked Moultire right there because I feel he’s a better prospect and a guy capable of scoring at the PF position when Elton Brand leaves.  You do bring up a good poitn, in some ways Moultrie is a bigger version of Brackins.

I don’t think Jeremy Pargo is too involved in Memphis’ future, he was kind of a pleasant surprise at the beginning of last season, but I think taking Teague would give them the choice of him or Selby going forward depending on how they preform.  With the D-League also being used more as a development tool, Memphis could just put their 4th point guard down there to still get minutes.  In addition, at that point in the 1st round I think Gordon or Jones would be a bit of a reach so I had them picking a PG.  If Nicholson or Green dropped I could see them going that direction because of the reasons you mentioned.

    Good point.

i guess when you’re dealing with a prospect, theres nothing wrong in acquiring multiple prospects of the same type to raise the chances of getting one that will pan out. Portland has been doing by taking Bayless then Patrick Mills then Elliot Williams and Armon Johnson then Nolan Smith all in succeeding years who are all scoring guards 6’3" or shorter.

If I’m the Cavs, I’m not picking TRob over Beal or Rivers.  The potential backcourt of Rivers/Irving or Beal/Irving is just too enticing for me to pass up.

^ I agree with you there Bill Walton, I think Beal would be a great pick for Cleveland considering they just drafted Tristan Thompson last year, Robinson doesn’t make a lot of sense.  I just am not sure the Cavs will have that pick at all so I just left my top 10=12 as my own player ranking until the lottery is held.
