Morris to Suns, TRob to Rockets. Patterson to Kings.
Great pick up for Houston, especially if all they gave up was Morris. What do you think the suns gave up/Kings got?
Sorry, I edited it after you posted.
Ummmm I am hoping the Rockets didn't just give up Morris, Patterson, Aldrich, and Douglas for Robinson. I am assuming that pick goes to Houston or else they are giving up Morris for nothing. Interested to see the final details though.
I seriously don't understand what Sacramento is doing.they re giving their 5th pick for scrubs or something?Houston did a great deal if you ask me and they added a great weapon to their young nucleus plus a second round pick
Fransisco Garcia and Tyler Honneycutt will go to the Rockets also.
Patterson paired back with Cousins, I like. Let's see what Robinson can do as the only post scorer for Houston.
Robinson's not a post scorer though.
They want defense and rebounding. Hopefully Robinson can help in those areas.
Does this mean more time for Dontas Motiejunas?
I could be way off on this but I see it as a move to please Cousins, meaning that they will make the future of their franchise.
I havent heard any rumors to support that statement. You now Cousins would rather have Patterson than Robinson because Robinson thinks he is a franchise player. Patterson knows his role in the NBA and already has previous chemisrty with Cousins from Kentucky..
I may be way wrong but thats just what I think.
Soo is it Marcus and Markieff playing together again? Kansas Days,
Wow T-Rob was the last person I would have been expected to get traded. Was expecting Evans. Why make this move though? Seems like they just made a trade just for the sake of it....
Yeah I don't like teams giving up on top 5 picks this early, but maybe they thought Cousins and Robinson would never work. At least Patterson would give Cousins the spacing to operate. Maybe Cousins and Patterson are buddies too since they played together at UK. From the Kings' perspective, it looks like a chemistry/fit move.
Thomas Robinson Francisco Garcia and Tyler Honeycutt
For
Patrick Patterson Toney Douglas and Cole Aldrich
Then
Marcus Morris for a Suns 2 round pick in a different deal
Moving your 5th pick before the end of the season seems insane! I feel bad for T-Rob in one sense, but happy that McHale might be a better mentor than he had in Sac Town.
I don't feel bad at all for T-Rob. He's playing for a better organization now.
Would T-Rob be the starter in Houston right away now?
I wouldn't say right away. He might take Delfino's place eventually so as they don't play too small, I don't see them benching Parsons though. He would do well as a 6th man for the time being till he's comfortable with the system.
If this deal goes through he should be happy that he is getting out of the Kings organization. He is going to play for a good coach and great mentor in McHale. I have no idea what the Kings are doing. I would like to see the brothers together balling in Phoenix.
But seriously can someone explain to me what the Kings are doing?
If i had to take a guess the wanted to dump salary. They traded away 12 mil owed to Garcia over next 2 years, T-Rob's rookie contract, and Honeycutt as a throw in for 3 expiring deals. So basically the Maloofs being the Maloofs.
I'm not even close to being a Kings fan, but what in the hell are they doing? I don't care how well Patrick Patterson has been playing this season, Robinson was the number two scouted player eight months ago. Maybe his slow start in the pros had something to do with: a) playing with DeMarcus Cousins, b) backing up Jason Thompson and, c) playing in a losing culture.
Seriously, watch this guy be shaped by Harden and play for a better franchise and become an all star.
As a Suns fan I just find it funny to reunite the brothers, we aren't going anywhere anytime soon so why not. It'll make Thanksgiving and Christmas that much easier next year.
As a suns fan I hope this is just the begining of trades to get younger and draft picks (even though here they gave up one but considering Marcus was the 14th pick just 2 years ago its not bad)
For real, three former Kansas players traded today.
Worse trade possible for the Kings? They basically traded a top 5 pick for Patterson. I love Patterson, but for a top 5 pick on a rookie deal? It's not like Robinson is a bust or anything? I wouldn't expect anything much out of a player on the Kings. Look at the potential of Cousins and how poorly he plays at times. Ridiculous trade. Seems like someone should have swooped in and stole Robinson from the Kings already if thats all they wanted.
Nice little Kentucky teammate reunion with Patterson and Cousins.
I'm sorry, but Robinson wasn't exactly setting the world on fire. Not sure what everyone is all up in arms about.
Reports have it - it has cleared up some roster spots for Royce White when he gets called up from D-League....
Finally, i want to see him in an NBA games, he's an all around energy player!, i guess its okay to see him only on home games, hahahaha
Kevin McHale so far has got Harden, Lin, Asik, second round steal in Parsons and now T-Rob. If Royce White works out McHale is a genius....

Details are still being worked out but here is what is known for now.
Thomas Robinson has gone to the Rokets.
Marcus Morris has joined his brother with the Suns.
The Suns have given up a 2nd round pick. Unsure of where it is going.
Cole Aldrich, Patrick Patterson, and Toney Douglas will head to the Kings.
