He should score 25ppg if you take take 20 shot a game and he is avg 4 turnover a good one of the worst out of any point guard in the nba. He is a score first point guard who don’t get his team involve like that. he take 5 three a game and only 1 a game.
Jimmer he dont play no d-fence and he is the only player that get alway with that. He shoot 22 shot a game he is the point guard that has a 1 to 1 assists to turnover ratio.

Meditated StatesParticipantNot saying Irving is not good, but I just am not sold like others on him really being a top 2 or 3 player, but I honestly have not seen enough of him. Jimmer is gonna get killed on D and 4 some reason I think Dan Dickau when I see him, though he is bigger than Dan. Carmello Anthony is talked about like top 5 in the game. I don’t think so.

FritzParticipantSeriously why are you guys giving him thumbs up for that horrible Derrick Rose argument? People get confused on how much people like somebody compared to how good we think he is.
First off, Im so tired of people saying he is a score first point guard, SO WHAT. You and everyone else on this board has never answered that question. Derrick Rose wins games. Thats all that matters. You guys make it sound like scoring from your point guard is a bad thing. Derrick Rose scores and hes one of the best in the league at it, stop taking something that he brings that is so important to the Bulls success and try and make it sound like it is a negative.
2nd. Doesnt get his team involved? Come on dude 8 assist a game and scoring as much as he does is extremely impressive as a distributor. If Rose didnt score as much as he did and did as much as Rajon Rondo did, dont you think those times hes not shooting he would rack up more assist?
3rd. Yes I agree he takes too many threes a game, it agrivates me too, but he does have impressive games from 3 point range like vs Atlanta and that game where he hit 5 threes in the first quarter. He can make them but I think he settles for them too much probably because he just doesnt have the energy to attack the rim.
Turnovers
Rose-3.5 Rondo-3.5 Dwill and Nash-3.6 Westbrook and Wall- 3.8+ How are Rose’s turnovers too high?

1.the other people you name like steve nash rajon d-will yea they avg 3 + turnover a game but the give you 10 assists a game to unlike d-rose.
2.D-Rose has not avg 10 assists in one month this year but he avg more than 20 shot a game every month he even had a game where he had 10 turnover.
3.D-will he avg 10+ assists in 3 month this year
4. Steve Nash avg 10+ assists in 5 month this year
5.Rajon avg 10+ assists in 5 month this year

Rose should average more turnovers then all those guys because he has to carry his offenses scoring load unlike those guys except maybe Dwill.
I understand why everyone is saying he gets too much hype, but so far you have yet to name a good reason for why he doesnt deserve it.
Yes Rose is not Michael Jordon, nor does he derserve to be compared anywhere near those levels yet. But…..
Rose is about to become the youngest MVP in NBA history, I believe that deserves some recognition. A lot of people like this guy hes one of the most popular players in the NBA and Im sorry for those who arent the biggest fans because his topics are so overcreated on this thread you just got to ignore them because people will keep posting them until there man crush with him are over.

SteroidParticipant@Fritz- Ast/TO ratio has more to do with PG play (distributing) more so than scoring. It’s a lot easier to turn the ball over when a player is trying to find his team mate more so than scoring. Ast-TO is one of the more important stats for a PG, and Rose doesn’t exactly have the best Ast/TO ratio at a little over 2 ast per turnover. It’s actually better that he’s a scorer first.
I do think some of Rose’s fan are a little over the top with Rose. He’s having a breakout year, but there are guys in this league who have been doing what he’s doing for years. He is in the league for the MVP, but the award is sort of like the heisman trophy to me.

In his defense, look at his supporting cast. I think his defense would be better if he wasn’t worn down with so much of the ball handling and offensive burden. I think he’ll be a decent pro, but probably not a starter.

The lake show2Doesn’t Nash, Melo,Amare also get away with playing no defense?. Vince carter, Derrick Rose at one point( better defender now) Lebron at one point. Jimmer is’ the only ne who seems to commit this unheard of sin of not playing defense
