Who is a prospect that you think is most underated? Mine is Kendall Marshall I think this guy should be a projected lottery pick for this year. He is not the most athletic but he posses an elite nba skill wich is his passing. I believe he can develop a jumpshot in the pros just like numerous players have. The one thing I know though is he turned North Carolina from a borderline tournament team to a top two seed and he was only major change made to the team. All the players who were being called overhyped on Unc started looking like the stars everyone envisioned when Marshall took over. He might not be the overall point gaurd Kyrie irving is but he’s as good of a passer if not better and he’s in the jason kidd mold tall pass first point. Let’s not forget Kidd led his team to multiple championship games without being a big time scorer elite passer make teams a lot better.

Mine would be Tyler Honeycutt. Those UCLA players are always very sound fundimental players, and seem to always be hiding their true potential.

Jan Vesely imo.  I’m sure people are sick of me toting this dude by now, but again, at 7 feet, he is the most mobile 7 footer Ive EVER seen.  Its unreal.  This guy gets up and down the court like a a guard or SF.  He has amazing body control for his size as well.  He even has a nice J and great range, especially given his size.  He needs to pack on some lbs, but that is probably the easiest thing to improve upon with some time in the gym.  I know some people see him as an energy guy, but that is his basement for me.  He has insane upside and could really develop into a hell of a player in the NBA.

JaJuan Johnson. I just don’t get it. He was projected a late lottery pick last year, then he wins Big 10 POY…and drops to late first/early second round? All he did this year was average 20.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.3 blocks as he anchored one of the nation’s best defenses. At 6-10 he has excellent size for the 4, he can play physical or he can be agile if you need him to be. With David West becoming a free agent and the cash-strapped Hornets maybe not willing to give him what he wants, I think he would be a perfect fit in NO at 19, or could go 17 to the Knicks who are in need of front court help.

     Frank Hassell

If ODU hadn’t lost in the first game, Hassell would have gotten to showcase his talents to the rest of the nation. Hassell is such a great rebounder, and a great help defender by being in position to block shots. He has a pretty reliable mid range jumper as well.

    Delroy James

He is one of the so many players that had he gone to a more competitive school, he would be a 1st round pick. Delroy has range out to the NBA 3, and is a great one on one player. He has the ability to take about anyone to the hole, and he has a solid frame too.

Demitri McCamey to me is severly underrated as a prospect. The guy reminds me of Jarrett Jack.

Justin Harper, he will be a mismatch problem in the NBA.

Im gonna go out on a lim here and say Harrison Barnes. How is the guy who was the unquestioned preseason No.1, playing this well not number 1? outside of not being great at getting to the rim, hes a pretty damn complete weapon, in my opinion. When alot of drafts have Sean May 2.0 going ahead of him, i think he goes no lower than 2. And as a Duke fan, i would probably take him over Irving unless i was someone like sac-town where Irving just makes alot more sense.

Yup I agree with Justin Harper being underrated. He’s like the mid major version of  Derrick Williams. Extrmely efficient and versatile. Has some inside post moves as well as the ability to stretch the floor. I compare him favorably to Al Harrington. If Richmond beats KU though Harper will definitely have his name on the map and get top 20 consideration.

Man, people on this board have been ripping Henson for that play he made at the end of the Washington game, and are not even mentioning him tipping the in bounds pass preventing Washington from getting a good shot off with like 7 or 9 seconds left.  He’s like 19 or 20 years old, him reacting to a ball flying at him and messing up do not outweigh his length that caused him to make a great defensive play a few seconds earlier.

Justin Harper is a SF in the NBA, he has no post moves and doesn’t even look to go in the post. If he did have a post game he’d be dominate.

The guy saying Delroy James has range out to the 3-point line must be on crack, he can’t shoot at all, he does have an NBA body and he is good at getting to the whole but that’s it.

Jon Diebler is a 6’7 Steve Kerr. Guy won’t be a star in the league but should be a late first rounder and most definitely a second rounder.

Chandler Parsons…I was rough on him earlier in the year when he wasn’t playing all that well, as they lost some tough games. Has a great all around game, and just understands how to play, he’s really gotten better every year. Even though he didn’t put up the big point totals I thought he would this year, his play in each aspect of the game was just as impressive and important. Needs to become a knock down shooter to enhance his game for the next level, but even though he’s a senior, I still feel he has a considerable amount of potential left.

I wasn’t familiar with Yi Jianlian when he came out but there was alot of hype. Now my question is, Jan Vesely seems like a similar player(tho, I do admit I do not know much about him either), so what is the difference between Yi and Jan Vesely?

The difference between Yi and Vasely is that Vasely has potential on the defensive end. Vasely is also more active running in transition (even tho they are similar athletically), Yi is a one on one/ISO type player which Vasely lacks right now (ball handling and consistent shot).
