This is what the raptors currently have:

PG- Calderon — Jack — Banks

SG- Derozan — Barbosa — Wright

    SF- Klieza — Weems

PF- Bargnani — Johnson — Davis — Evans

    C- Anderson — Alabi

As you can see the team is very thin at the Centre Position. Neither Amir Johnson or Bargnani are true centres and I have trouble see them guarding a player like Dwight Howard, we need a dominant centre inside so Bargnani can spend more time on the perimeter and stretch the floor.
So the moves I would make if possible…

Trade Calderon to Sacremento for Garcia + Thompson

Sacremento gains a quailty point guard who can push beno udrih or even take his spot and gives up Garcia’s bad contract (in order to make salaries match). the raptors get a 6’11 power forward who i see a lot more capable or playing post defense and palying the centre position.

Trade Garcia to the Bobcats for Dasagna Diop + 2nd round pick

I know what you’re thinking why the hell would we want Dasagna Diop?? Well his salary is almost identical to garcia’s contract and the same years. We dont need depth at SF as much as we need inside rebounding. What else can we really for Garcia?

Trade Evans + Davis to the Pacers for Paul George + TJ Ford

TJ Ford seems untradeable to the Pacers and they’re even thinking of buying him out for this last year but he wont even think about that option, might as well get a strong rebounder in his last year like Evans. The Pacers also take care of they’re Power Forward problem with Davis. The Raptors really don’t need any depth at the power forward position with a franchise PF in Bargnani, guy off the bench like Amir Johnson and Klieza who is also capable of playing that position.

    the final line up

    PG – Ford — Jack — Banks

SG- DeRozan — Barbosa — Wright

SF- Klieza — Weems — George

PF- Bargnani — Johnson — Anderson

    C– Thompson — Diop — Alabi

This Line up seems playoff bound to me, Johnson really isnt fit to be a starter yet he should have a Paul Millsap type of role at, I think this line up has depth at every position.

I don’t think jason thompson and tj ford making one of the worst teams in the league go from worst to first..and I don’t think the pacers would trade for paul george for a skinny power forward with less of a ceiling potential wise..

Jason Thompson and Tj Ford is a hell of a improvement from Calderon and Anderson. Jason Thompson is only 23 he definitely has room to grow and develop he already avg’s 12.5 ppg 8.5 rebounds. Tj Ford is a low risk high reward player he only has one year left on his contract. I think the pacers who are very thin at the PF spot would be desperate enough to take that trade. If not offer a draft pick along with Davis + Evans maybe the Bobcats 2nd or Miami 1st.

Wright isn’t on the Raptors anymore. I don’t think Raptors will trade Davis at all. We need a PF and Bargnani is getting comfortable at C. We don’t need to keep blowing up this team, they need to develop chemistry. Davis was a steal at 13 and he will be a solid PF for the Raptors who will get playing time.

I’m talkin about Julian Wright who was just aquired from the Hornets for Marco Bellineli, Ed Davis will be a very good player but Paul George has the potential to be a Rudy Gay type player or a star he has far more potential. Andrea Bargnani said himself he is more comfortable playing PF.

Before the whole Lance is an idiot incident… that would have been a great deal for the Pacers. While Evans isn’t the greatest defensive PF, he’s better than Murphy and would still provide the rebounding that Troy brought. Likewise, having a young PF with actual starting potential would have been a big boost.

I’m not sure about this with the whole Lance thing going on now though. Bench production if we traded away George and if Lance is cut would be just as bad as last year.

I dont think Lance would play a big role in their offense in the first year anyways, the pacers already have Brandon Rush, Dahtay Jones, James Posey and Mike Dunleavy can play the 2 guard.

The Raptors have just given Amir Johnson a large contract so obviously have him in mind for a decent role. Ed Davis was a good pick up at 13 but will need time to develop. David Andersen had vast European experience and did a good job as back-up C for Houston and can do likewise behind Bargnani this season.

Bargnani can play from SF to C but I think his long term role will be as a finesse C as the NBA moves more towards smallball teams.

With two first rounders next year then the Raptors will have a lot of draft possibilities and even if the pick from Miami will be in 25-30 range then with their own pick likely to be say late lottery up to say 18 then there will be trade up options and at worse they could add players in two different positions.

bcuz no one thinks that Calderon is better than Thompson, Charlotte doesnt need a small forward, Evans/ Davis is worse than George/Ford

The Washington Wizards, Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons still have sizable chunks of MLE to offer. Saving it may come in handy if a quality player is bought-out mid-season.
