juice304ParticipantSo SI.com put out an article a few days ago that mentioned how Andrew will coast thru games when they are obviously going to crush the opponent. The article was a lil critical of him, but nothing too major. So last night he goes out and drops 57 on like 24-28 shooting. I don’t know if he caught wind of the article or not but i like that the young man came out and just killed it. I watched him live last Friday vs. Oldsmar FL. Oldsmar had a few mid major D1 commits but it was obvious they were getting crushed right out of the gate. Andrew was 4sure on cruise control that game. He had a quiet 21 in about 2 &1/2 qtrs. This kid is the total package and i think his game will only elevate once he starts playing better competition. Its gotta be hard for him not to coast thru games when he’s so much damn better than everybody on the floor. thoughts?

Mad MaxParticipantHe’s pretty good at this whole “basketball” thing

MakarosParticipantHe knew about the article, he didn’t take it very well and he even posted on twitter about it.
He then went out and literally crushed his opponents. That’s the mentality I’m looking for from a guy who seemingly has every tool to become a franchise player.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantthat article was ridiculous. Criticizing him for jumping around high schools when he’s in a tough position career wise, trying to make the right choice for his basketball future when he grew up in Toronto and didn’t have the ability to just stay in his hometown and play for his local high school team without losing his competitive edge.
Also Thamel describes his father as a questionable figure in his decision making process by saying he was best known for the cocaine and suspension and also calling him jobless. He doesn’t mention that the cocaine suspension was 25 years ago, that Mitchell Wiggins went on to play 4 more years in the NBA (including the best of his career) and that as someone who played 6 years in the NBA and another 7 or so years playing professionally overseas in Greece, Italy and France he might have saved enough money that he can afford to be without a job when he’s in his 50s…

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantVery talented and has the potential to be what TMac was at his peak. Just don’t see him reaching the top of the top like a Kobe or Jordan because he doesn’t have that “kill you all the time no matter how bad you are” in him

WolfRobParticipantBecause you’ve seen him play once or twice on TV? When his team handily won..

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantYou have only seen him once? I’m guessing you are talking about you’re self because I’ve watched plenty of his AAU games this summer as well as 2 high school games on top of talking to scout.com scouts about him who have watched him even more. Nothing I said is big news. Just read his scouting report and you will see the same thing
ESPN
Weaknesses:
He must continue to be a competitor every time he steps out on the floor and expect to dominate. His passing needs to improve as he continues to demand double teams.0

EntropyParticipantwhat does “kill you all the time no matter how bad you are” even mean?

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantWatch Kobe and Jordan tapes and you’ll see. No matter what the competition is they try to destroy them., that’s been said about them all the way back to Highschool days

HOops1562ParticipantWhy can’t he reach the top of the top … Lebron has reached the top without this”kill you all the time no matter how bad you are” mentality he’s still the best player today …. they said the exact same thing about Kevin Durant http://www.nbadraft.net/players/kevin-durant …. “oh does he have the killer instinct” …. having a killer instinct doesn’t matter as much in today’s NBA … they said Durant had a “laid back attitude” but look at him now he dominates every night everyone has a different way of being competitive not everyone is like Jordan and Kobe who yell and have a serious face every night

M-EazyParticipantI read the article and honestly sounded like he’s mad that Wiggins isn’t American born. I really don’t like how he tried to throw Wiggins pops under the bus calling him unemployed and bringing up drug use that happened a long time ago.
I feel sorry for the remaining teams on Huntington Prep’s schedule!
