Tha King2121ParticipantHey does anyone know when Myles Turner is going to pick his school; the website still says undecided and most other prospects already chose schools. Also any idea of where he will end up?!

Jdean24ParticipantTurner will decide after Joel decides whether or not he’s returning. If he leaves Turner is Jayhawk. If not Ohio State or SMU would be the favorites I believe.

Tha King2121ParticipantSo Kansas could potentially be Seldon, Oubre, Cliff Alexander, Myles Turner, Perry Ellis. Wow thats a solid team right there.
If he picks SMU it would be him and Emmanual Mudiay. Thats pretty good too.
Texas is a very young team.
All seem like solid choices.

mikeyvthedonParticipantApparently waiting until after McDonald’s, Jordan Brand and the Hoop Summit to make his choice. Following in the foot steps of Shabazz Muhammad and Andrew Wiggins as top ranked guys who have kept us waiting. Kansas has been one of the favorites, though it is depending on whether Joel Embiid stays or goes. Oklahoma St., Ohio St. and Duke have also gotten visits, with Texas expected to get one this weekend. SMU is seen as a dark horse, as he is friends with fellow Texan, Emmanuel Mudiay. My guess is Kansas or Texas, though he wanted to see what it was like potentially playing with some of his future teammates in these games and practices before making his final choice.

HitsterParticipantIt does make sense to wait to see if a top prospect who plays the same position as Turner at one of his favoured colleges declares but the flip side is when he had an almost free choice why not decide then as top recruiters don’t wait forever.
If he did go to Kansas then they would be absolutely loaded but I wonder would he want to play directly alongside Cliff Alexander on the frontcourt as it would give watching scouts a direct comparision between the two and one could be a draft loser. SMU would be an interesting choice in my mind.

WITNESS2014ParticipantOhio State needs Turner more than anybody, their front line of Williams and Macdonald are the worst I’ve seen in years. Williams has talent but he’s so lazy, for being a Mcdonalds all American he is a big time bust. No need to fire Matta though he has done a great job at OSU. He hasn’t won the big one but until this year we had been to the sweet 16 four strait times with getting upset in elite 8 last year against Witchita St. and losing in the final four the previous year against Kansas.
More about Turner though I was reading a blog on another site a week or so ago and I guess Turner’s dad was pushing him to be a Buckeye, he said all the other teams want Turner, but Ohio State needs Turner. I doubt he goes to OSU. With Embid just announcing that he is entering the draft then I see Turner going to Kansas.

Kokayne_DawkinzParticipantI can’t see him going there because that would push Perry Ellis to the bench who’s their best returning players and has major experience. I’ve played basketball at an local x sport gym in Chicago and he told me and fellow players who’s ask him about going to Kansas and he expects to start and he also wants to be an one and done. He’s also been there most nights working on his 12-18 foot jumpers which come in VERY mixed results I just can’t see Seldon or Oubre going to the bench sobtheyvwould he starting along with Ellis and Tharp so that leaves Turner v.s Alexander. I wonder what will happen with Alexander if Embid stays

strobox88ParticipantPerry Ellis is a PF. Myles Turner is a C. The C spot at Kansas is Turner’s for the taking if Embiid leaves (which it’s looking like he will) unless they plan to use Alexander at the PF spot. Either way, they need deph in the frontcourt positions since the only two guys they got returning right now are Perry Ellis and Jamari Traylor.

redone1ParticipantI disagree. I think Kansas has quite good depth in the frontcourt even with Embiid leaving.
PF: Perry Ellis, Jamari Traylor
C: Cliff Alexander, Landen Lucas (had some moments of the bench this year, big body), and the transfer from Arkansas who sat out this past year Hunter Mickelson.
Self and KU have consistently developed bigs and I think every one of those 5 can play. 5 bigs is plenty of depth.

pujdadeuceParticipantDon’t get me wrong I still would very much desire him to join Rusell & co. at OSU but I’m curious to know how UCONNs recent run will affect the recruiting landscape. Could Turner throw a curveball and team up with Purvis, (Boatwright?), Daniels and Ollie next year?
