NBA All-Star Reserves
John Schuhmann said that Josh Smith was inconsistent to get a nod as an All-Star... Yes, scoring-wise... He hasn't wowed us... He'll score 23 and the next game, settles for 11... But his all-around game has been very consistent... Yes, he might score 11 but he makes up for it by rebounding and blocking shots... damn!
4 celtics, 3 heat, 2 hawks....... that is 9 out of the 12.. thats your first issue.. I think felton should be in there. idk I feel not alot of teams being represented makes the game less fun. Even if your team is killing people like duncans.. Idk they will have there time to shine when playing for the finals and duncan is fine with that. Beyond fine actually let the young kids play who really dont have a title shot and are putting up numbers imo Love and Aldridge should have gotten in.
making an all-star team is an individual award.....something to look forward to if you're on a horsesh*t team.....I have all the respect in the world for Tim Duncan but to have him on this team over Love is laughable.....Popovich should be ashamed of himself and so should Doc Rivers.....they both showed blatant favoritism here......
I may be dating myself here but I was under the impression that the coaching staff of each roster was in charge of picking the reserves???? At risk of sounding dumb, is that not true anymore and if not when did they change it???? I can't believe this crap....I love the NBA All-Star Game but this is lame.....if I wanted to watch a Celtics game I would tune in for the finals.....
this is some players only chance to be seen and showcase themselves and we get more Boston and Miami shoved down our throat....
Like I feel like I will be watching a celtics game. or a heat game. I feel like horford was deserving not sure bout jj though. You cannot blame the east for only having 6 above 500 teams by only picking players from those six.... Idk I dont like it one bit.
coaches for the all-star game do not pick the reserves. They have a vote just like every other coach in the west but cant vote for their own players. Im pretty sure it has always been that way.
I thought I knew everything but I didn't know that....you think that the celtics would split the vote enough to at least leave one of them off....Ray Allen doesn't deserve to be there....gotta put Ray Felton on there over him at least.....
and yes I can blame them for only using players for the top 6 teams....this is why baseball has the all-inclusive rule that everyone hates....its a little over the top but its one of the only ways for some of these players to get seen EVER....you couldn't do it in the NBA but I think there has to be a 3 player per team rule.....Bosh doesn't deserve it either imo......the East is gonna get mollywopped.....

Joe Johnson has picked it up as of late, but I think Josh Smith has been the best Hawk this season.
