chocboywndrParticipantEvery year certain guys rise or fall due to the quality of their individual workouts and combine workouts. Last years example would be Tristan Thompson who was projected to go around 7 or after but had a great workout with Clevland and moved up.
Do you think guys like Harrison Barnes, PJ3, Sullinger can turn around their fallen stock?
Who do think may fall once they are able to viewed in a neutral setting were their NBA qualities will be scrutinized i.e jump shot, handle, attitude, etc.

omphalosParticipantI think Barnes will jump after workouts, he really impressed scouts playing 1v1 against Kevin Durant in the summer, I expect similar things to happen during workouts.

Chilbert arenasParticipantRivers could rise with workouts

MJBrownParticipantAll I can say is, I hope Kendal Marshall has been working his tail off or he’s going to find himself in the green room for longer than expected. Great court vision isn’t good enough to be a successful pg in the league today.

atlienkevParticipantPJ3 might leave scouts amazed during workouts.

Meditated StatesParticipantAre wearing out dudes in one on one play. Barnes and Lamb too. MKG will get exposed on Offense but defend well.

Future_Scout’s boarddead serious question…..what is pj3 gonna do 1vs1?
create his shot off the dribble?…no
post up?… no
use his athleticism to slash? (and take his man off the dribble 1vs1)… doubt it
i think pj3’s game is not off isos…. actually i know…

SmooveKRYPTParticipantI wanna see Lilliard vs. Rivers 1-on-1.
I could also see Terrence Ross lighting up workouts & moving into the late lotto0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/23/2012 - 9:20am #663014
rhofernParticipantYea I can see Terrence Ross potentially moving up to early teens. Austin rivers will also move up draft boards after the combine.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantWorkouts are a Showcase that mostly benefit guys that are exceptionally athletic…Becuz how else can you explain guys like Marcus Hasilip or Chris Wilcox being taking ahead of Carlos Boozer? Or Roy Hibbert & Millsap going late in the draft? Scouts and Teams can sometimes get carried away by seeing guys excelling at the combine..I remember Shannon Brown was rated as a 2nd round pick..But did well at the combine and it raised his stock….
I believe guys that will fall in the draft after the Workouts ARE:
1.John Henson-
2.Kris Joseph
3.Kevin Jones
*
Guys would might go higher then expected. ARE:
1.Robert Sacre
2.Drew Gordon
3.Robbie Hummel
4.Kevin Murphy
*
I’m eager to see what scouts have to say about Renardo Sidney after workouts..Becuz in those events he might do pretty well..
1.Bench Press-He seem to have great strength…
2.Shooting-For a big man he has a very good touch..
3.Agility & Metric Drills-He’s mobile..
4…Strength & Conditioning Test-Even though he’s out of shape and shows fatique after playing too many minutes and has to dit down…..I’ve seen tapes of him going at it in the in the weight room and he goes hard for nonstop for hours…
5.I think the only thing he’ll Funk will be the Interviews…

river09ParticipantI think a lot of the smaller name guys have the most to gain in NBA workouts.. Terrence Ross could really improve his stock by showing off his athleticism and skills in a focused setting next to his competitors. He really has a well rounded game.. I have to think Moultrie, PJ3 and Drummond will absolutely show off their physical tools the entire pre-draft season and their stocks will rise… If Kevin Jones, Damian Lillard, Kevin Murphy, CJ Mccollum and Alex Young (maybe even Kyle O’Quinn) get a chance to go head to head with their competitors there’s little doubt in my mind that their stocks will rise. They are the type of players that have been flying under the radar but get the job done and are great competitors… Jones will have to show off his perimeter skills in order to convince scouts that he can operate effectively in the NBA though..
I also see Thomas Robinson falling if he doesn’t perform well in workouts and his measurements turn in worse than expected…

Meditated StatesParticipantCommon sense. That’s his advantage.

HitsterParticipantPJ3 could come out with a very impressive set of measurements and Drummond if his body fat and weight are good will do himself no harm.
I’ll be interested to see what height Thomas Robinson comes in at also.

bloodshyParticipantMany of the people who get the biggest bounce out of the combine are players people claim are unathletic, but who are able to demonstrate capacity in combine measurables. Last year Jimmer got a nice bump by having fast times in the sprints and a respectable verticle. I could see Sully receiving a big bounce if he has a better-than-expected vert score. PJ3/Wroten/Marshall will get a nice bump if any of them shoot lights out on the 3-point segment.
