adumParticipantWho ya got?
I think there are 2 types of shooters. Stand still and off the dribble .
There are alot of factors that determine great shooters. Off ball movement is easily the most important.
Heres my top 5 in no order
Steve Novak
Ray Allen
Ryan Anderson
Steph curry
Klay ThompsonHonorable mentions : Carmelo , Korver , Batum and Reddick

surveParticipantwell….what kind of catagory? pure shooter? or high percentage in their range?
Mayo, Ben Gordon, and Kevin Martin come to mind.
Mid-range, I really like Ibaka’s improvement. He has become deadly.
also would like to add David Lee

river09ParticipantKevin Martin also makes a living roaming the outside hitting jump shots.. The top shooter off the dribble right now is Durant, hands down IMO…
1. Steph Curry – Has it all and is healthy for a change. hitting 46% from 3p, with 3.1 makes per game.
2. JJ Redick – Infinite range compensates for his lack of size, athleticism, explosiveness, quickness, and being JJ Redick….
3. Kyle Korver – The prototypical spot up shooter. Hitting at 43% 3p, career 41% 3p
4. Steve Novak/Ryan Anderson – Ultimate shooting big men..
5. Ray Allen – At 37 still cannot be left off a Best Shooters list… Still hitting a stellar 43% 3pHonorable mentions: Kevin Martin, Kevin Durant,

KDThunder35ParticipantCurry just sprained his ankle again. Dude cannot stay healthy to save his life.
0- Posted on: Thu, 01/17/2013 - 7:17am #739654
river09ParticipantSeriously?
0- Posted on: Thu, 01/17/2013 - 10:01am #739693
aarondsonixfanParticipantyeah and the funny thing is that rather than spraining the ankle in practice or in a game, he sprained it at SHOOTAROUND! I don’t understand how that could really work, but that’s just sad to say the least that he’s been so plagued with injuries and then he re-injures his ankle during the most easy time in the NBA process

Brew Meister SmithParticipantJose has been brilliant this season with his shot – how often have you seen him force up a low percentage shot (even late in the clock? Never.
Shooter of the future: Anyone who has seen Terrence Ross on one of his hot shooting nights has to think this kid will be an absolute sniper in a couple of seasons.
0- Posted on: Thu, 01/17/2013 - 7:34am #739659
For_Never_EverParticipantIndeed, I agree with Terrence Ross being a marksman too.

R-Dot-13ParticipantJJ Redick, Ray Allen and Steve Novak are the best 3pt shooters in the league.
Steph Curry also.Best overall shooters.
Kevin Durant, Kobe and umm..Steve Nash anybody?
0- Posted on: Thu, 01/17/2013 - 7:49am #739664
For_Never_EverParticipantI wanted to put Nash on my list, but he has slowed down so much. I believe this could be his last year too,
0- Posted on: Thu, 01/17/2013 - 9:41am #739688
Sotos14ParticipantNash has had a line of 50-40-90 4 times in his career, something that only 5 others have completed ever in a single season, Durant likely to be the 7th. He definetly deserves to be on this list

BasketBalAllanParticipantJust thought I would point out that Jimmer is leading the NBA in free throw % and fourth in 3 pt % this year, we might be able to put him up as one of the best in a couple of years, once he figures out his game a little more.
