WillisWaltParticipantWas that 10.5 blocks? That will be tough for anybody.
I like your Rose numbers, not too far-fetched.
LeBron may have a hard time scoring 26 ppg. It depends on how the roles get defined on that team. I see him as a possible 9-rebound man though. I’m still not sure how well that little trio is going to work together. I have to admit I’m rooting against them.
What is Fat Lever Mode?
Those would be great numbers for Jennings, but he may be able to pull it off.
Randolph – If he gets big playing time, he could score more than 17, but I’m not so sure about 4 assists. I also see him as 1.5 to 2 blocks per game.
All in all, very achievable numbers for those guys if they have good years. Nice post!

TRC1991ParticipantGreg Oden 11, 10, 1.5….are you guys serious? is that really THAT bold? the guy who averaged 11.1 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 2.3 bpg in 21 games last season? the guy who is still 22 years old with amazing talent and good offensive skills? you’d think bold would be like 17 and 12 and 3 blocks…i see oden surpassing your expectations tony
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/16/2010 - 10:52am #355506
WillisWaltParticipantHey, that’s a lot more reasonable: 1.5 blocks.
And Fat Lever Mode, I get what you mean when you describe it, but where does the name come from?0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/16/2010 - 10:53am #355507

OllstarParticipantD Will was a 19 and 10 guy with boozer. Rose with boozer will be alot of the same.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/16/2010 - 11:11am #355516
sacphil_08ParticipantI think some of these are way off… Not to call you out or anything.
Derrick rose: its possible but now he has carlos boozer so he wont have to look to score nearly as much with another legit scoring threat on his team. His assists could go up though
Josh Smith: I think all the stats are accurate except the rebounding numbers because its looking like atlanta will sign shaq which will allow horford to move to the 4 and smith to the 3 meaning he wont be able to grab as many boards playing along with those two
OJ mayo: He plays with too many people that have to have the ball to score that much. I think he’ll be in the 16-19 point range because they still have rudy gay, zach randolph, marc gasol
KD: Its possible but he’s going to have to have multiple 40 and 50 point games. He’s capable but it will be tough. I dont think anyone has averaged that many points in a long time
Lebron: His numbers will definitely go down. Still all star caliber but with d wade, bosh, mike miller as a shooting option and whomever else they get his assists could go up and he may even average a double double (19-20 ppg and 10-11 apg)
Russell Westbrook: He is capable of such numbers but i dont know if next season will be when he does that kind of thing but i could be wrong
Brandon Jennings: The bucks have added alot of pieces around him, way more than they had last season and he will probably decrease his ppg but really up his apg. They added drew gooden, corey maggette, retained john salmons, still have andrew bogut so i dont see his points skyrocketing like that (you realize he only averaged around 16 for the regular season right)
Greg oden: Where to start… You should ask the guy on this website ‘gregodensknees’ what he thinks about this. He definitely could average those numbers but he wont be a breakout guy if he gets injured and averages those numbers for 20-30 games
Jrue holiday: it’ll be interesting to see what happens with him. with iguodala and turner seeming to be dominant ball handlers jrue may have to be more of a scorer/shooter but i dont know that he can shoot that well. Those numbers arent unrealistic though
Anthony randolph: Unless randolph starts he won’t be anything close to that and even then i think its a reach because he and amare are the same kind of player (both PFs)
Tyreke: Im a kings fan and i would love to see those numbers but with the addition of cousins i dont think he’ll need to get that many touches and wont score 24 a game. I still think he’ll be a 20ppg guy because im anticipating he comes back with a much improved mid range jumper and maybe even more assists because of cousins and maybe our shooters will actually hit open jumpers next season
Demar derozan: Probably the most accurate… Toronto is going in an entirely different direction now so maybe he can start to try and live up to the hype of what raptors fans were saying (the next vince carter)

TONYDABOSS77ParticipantTrue . . Bt Rose Is A Better Scorer . . He Could Average 22-4-8 . . Bt It Would Be Really Nice If He Could Finally Use Those Physical Skills To Capitalize On Defense

TONYDABOSS77ParticipantKD: Long Time ? AI & Kobe Both Averaged 33+ In 05-06 Season . .
LeBron: Triple-Double . . Honestly i Could See Him Averaging 18-9-13 , Bt Still D-Player Of The Year .
Jennings: Yea , Bt He Will Still Have The Ball In His Hands & Its Still HIS Team
Randolph: Him & Amare Are Totally Different & Randolph Would Be Better Suited On The Wing & ANYTHiNGS Possible In D’Antoni’s System . . . D’Anflation . . .
Tyreke Evans: He’s Nt That Good Of A Distributer . .

SteroidParticipantIf Oden can actually become and STAY healthy, I’d say he’d be my top breakout player. Most of the players you’ve listed have already broken out IMO. Lol. I’d like to see OJ Mayo finally live up to his hype. Until then, I’m considering him to be overrated. Terrence Williams could have a good year on a bad team. Beasley could make some noise in Minnesota and finally start showing his potential on a consistent basis. Since he won’t have to share the paint with Jefferson anymore, I could see Love putting up some significantly better numbers this year. I could see love averaging 12-13 rebs.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/16/2010 - 11:28am #355530
TONYDABOSS77ParticipantT-Will Could Average 14-5-6
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/16/2010 - 11:41am #355540
Scottoant93ParticipantI agree with most of them
Kevin Love – will improve now that Al Jefferson is gone and with Beasley should make a good duoDerrick Rose – Has a new target in Boozer and will have a break-out year like you said. Bulls will be good next season
Josh Smith – I see him as pretty much the same player score a little, rebound, block, dunk nothing new.
OJ Mayo – been working on pg skills so he will have a good year avg around 22ppg and 8assists
Kevin Durant – Will Lead the league in scoring and continue to dominate
LeBron James – Points go down to like 18-20 but assists will be up. small price to pay for a ring
Russell Westbrook – I see him improving slightly and continue to complement Durant
Brandon Jennings – BREAKOUT YEAR, will be more consistent in scoring, more assists. and stats across the board watch out for the Bucks( There not gonna win a championship just sayin they’ll begood)
Greg Oden – Have to feel sorry for him cause everytime his shows his potential he gets injured. Your stats are on point maybe 1 blk a game though
Jrue Holiday – He will be good next year, probably a starter expect 16 pts, 7 assists
Anthony Randolph – Is finally gonna show his potential after leaving GS. Like most people who leave will improve dramatically your stats sound right
Tyreke Evans – BREAKOUT YEAR as well along with cousins should be a nice combo
Demar Derozan – will improve now that bosh is gone. Good season for him bad for raptors.
Others Beasley will be good as well0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/16/2010 - 11:48am #355549
sacphil_08ParticipantKevin love doesnt even have the motor to average that many rebounds if he had a better motor then ok. Tyreke wouldve averaged more assists but donte greene andres nocioni wouldnt make open jumpers to save their lives last season. Also our bigs from last season (spencer hawes and jason thompson) missed HELLA layups and easy looks around the rim on passes from tyreke. If the bucks want to capitalize on their acquistions then brandon jennings will be a distributor and occasionally look for his offense. He’ll have to to keep all them happy by distributing the ball if they want to be successful. As far as KD is concerned maybe im saying he needs another year or two because those 3 points are going to be difficult to come by especially since he capitalizes on his free throw attempts shooting around 90%. If he could become say a 93 or 94 shooter from the line then ok he’ll average that. And dwight howard will win defensive player of the year until he retires (VERY bold claim but i stand by it) to win defensive player of the year as a guard you have to shut perimeter guys down, not just get steals and blocks in fastbreaks. Not even leading the league in steals will get you defensive player of the year (ask allen iverson) he can definitely shut guys down but to this point he hasnt but maybe thatll change since he wont have to assume such a large role offensively anymore

OllstarParticipantTibby isn’t a run and gun coach. Plus your going to slow down the offense alot for Boozer. And most fastbreak points won’t be from assists from Rose, they’ll be scored by him. I think 20 and 8 is what you can expect from Rose. D-Will is one of the best one-on-one players in this league, so I’m not sure I agree about Rose being the better scorer. D-Will is just such a great passer he’d rather get it down with his passing than with his sick crossovers and pull ups.

Bison 49ParticipantIn response to your predictions. Most of these guys are not breakout players though (unless someone pulls a Granger and breaks out 2/3 times (keeps improving).
Kevin Love – You had 15-11.
-He had 14 and 11 last year. I could see him averaging 17 11 and 4 (his biggest jump will be in assits). he will probably improve his shot, and get more touches w/Jefferson gone. They do really like him, evidence he has more to show.Derrick Rose – 24-4-6. Pretty close.
– I could see him having 23 – 5 – 8. he will know he has the team to aim championship, so he will do more to rebound and facilitate. His D will also improve.Josh Smith – 16-11-4 w/ 2 Steals & 2 Blocks.
– He won’t get 11 rebounds. He is still too perrimeter oriented to be where the ball goes.OJ Mayo – 22-4-4
– OJ is close. he will be shooting for a contract, while he won’t be the starting pg (he could be a back up), he will work on facilitating more. 22 – 4 – 6.Kevin Durant – 33-8-4
– He could do what he wants. Hhe has past the point where stats matter though. What will matter is his D, assists, and health.Russell Westbrook – 17-6-8
– The Thunder players might take a step back in points, rebs and assists because of their depth and developing talent. The stars might play slightly fewer minutes to stay as fresh as possible. They have some big time players that are coming along well.Brandon Jennings – 22-4-9
– Pretty close. Hope his FG% goes up though.Greg Oden – 11-10 1/ 2 Blocks
– If healthy, 14, 12, 2.5Jrue Holiday – Makes Some Doubters Into Believers .. 13-4-6
– Like this one. Add on 1.7 stlsAnthony Randolph – 17-11-4
– 16 10 4 and 2 blks.Tyreke Evans – 25-6-5
– 25, 5, 7 – He will have lots of guys to dish to on his drives.Demar Derozan – Shows Some Of His Potential .. 15-5-2
– Pretty close. I clould actually see him getting closer to 17 – 5 – 2 – 1.5 stls. The Raps will try to give him the minutes to be VC 2.0. Doing this they will play him at sg and sf.0 - Posted on: Sun, 12/19/2010 - 2:39pm #462057
