I haven’t been able to watch nearly as much college hoops this year as I usually do, so I need help with a couple of first round matchups.

    Colorado State vs. Missouri:

CSU is really strong on the boards, even dominated good rebounding teams (UNLV, Colorado, SDSU) in that category, but Mizzou is just as good. Will they be able to keep Oriaki contained. They’ve also allowed 3 perimeter players to drop over 35 this season. So will Pressey have a field day today?

    Wichita State vs. Pittsburgh

Haven’t seen WSU play at all. Will they be able to deal with Pitt’s size and aggressiveness?

    Arizona vs. Belmont

    Notre Dame vs. Iowa state

Pitt should be too much for Wichita

Iowa State can really outscore Notre Dame if the three is falling, which I predict it will be.

The other two are more of tossups for me. I’ve seen Missouri play a couple of times this year and they haven’t impressed me at all. They have the talent to be incredible though, and I do think they can beat CSU if Pressey plays under control and doesn’t have double digit turnovers.

Lastly, I have Belmont pulling the upset over Arizona. Arizona just doesn’t scare me as a team and Belmont has played well over the course of the last couple of years. Belmont is a sneaky dark horse pick for the sweet sixteen. They’re a feisty group

Wichita is always dangerous in the tourney, and although Pitt is a great rebounding team don’t be surprised if they pull the upset. Wichita was good all year but not great.

Not sure about ND/Iowa St, but its worth noting ND loses to double digit seeds basically every year.

Pittsburgh doesn’t have a go-to player… Wichita State has some talent in the frontcourt … that being said, Pitt has beaten good teams this year and are more battle tested. That game should be quite close though.
