torontoraptors10ParticipantDo you think San Antonio can play into role to acquire Bosh? Parker’s time in San Antonio might be up. So why not focus a trade around Parker OR ginobli and add pieces like Hill, Blair and Bogans? If Raptors get Parker, they can use Calderon as trade bait and send him somewhere else and Hill looks more of a SG than a PG sometimes. Blair adds the real toughness who can block shots, rebound and even score when needed. Hill can sometimes play at SG and sometimes at PG and looks like a good prospect. Watching him playing against Dallas and Phoenix, he has crazy talent. What do you all think?

RickyRubio9ParticipantI just send that trade rumor to ESPN central…& it has been said the Raptors are interested in this deal.
The only way it works if is Adam Morrison grows his hair out, gets the ‘stache back, & is included in the deal.0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/09/2010 - 3:51pm #309375

M-DYMESParticipantPersonally I think the Lakers could trade DJ Mbenga for Chris Bosh. Then they could trade Luke Walton for DeRozan and possibly package a 2nd round pick for Jose Calderon. 😉 😉 😉 😉
*Note the ;). Sarcasm in reference to previous posts.

DNYCEWhy do you idiots think the Raptors can just trade Calderon? He is overpaid and he isn’t that good. Most teams already have solid point guards that are better than Calderon if you dont agree name the teams that really would pay Calderon 8 mill a year going up next year. Maybe the Kings but they would rather Nate Robinson, and the Pacers would not pay Calderon 8 plus mill a year. If you ask me Calderon is going to be stuck in Toronto atleast until his contract is in the last year.

tli232To Warriors: Bosh
To Raptors: Ellis, Biedrins.
Fillers and picks will be included
Toronto Can get a solid DEFENSIVE big man and a huge scoring threat from the combo guard spot. Will allow Toronto to trade either calderon or Turkoglu, or both as Ellis is Ball dominant and Turk and Calderon need the ball to be effective.
Toronto gets their star in return. GSW gets rid of a head-case in Ellis and gets a Bona-Fide superstar in Bosh who fits into the GSW system pretty well from the High Post area.
Thoughts?

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantPersonally I think the original trade could be a viable option. With the Spurs being swept and Duncan/Parker in the last years of their contract I think they need another bonafide star to take pressure off the other players in the system. With a good defensive team already in place SA would be a good fit around Bosh.
A possible option:
Spurs get: Chris Bosh, Demarr Derozan
Raps get: Richard Jefferson, Dejuan Blair, George Hill and the rights to Tiago Splitter.
The Raptors instead of losing Bosh for nothing would ship him to the western conference and get an expiring contract in Jefferson who should help replace Bosh’s scoring somewhat and would be a great bargain chip for trades this upcoming season. A young PF in Blair who can bang down low and would be an ideal compliment for Bargnani. A nice young scoring guard to add athleticism and scoring punch off the bench in Hill. And the rights to a 25 year old center some think is the best 5 in Europe, who would provide toughness and a shot blocking presence at center for the Raps.

DNYCEDo you really think Bosh wants to go to the Warriors or Spurs over the Lakers? The decision is up to Bosh, I don’t know why idiots don’t understand that. Im pretty shure Derozan is in his ear telling him we could both go to my hometown and win a championship with my favorite player on favorite team growing up (Kobe, and the Lakers).

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantlol, I’m pretty sure “Derozan is not in his ear” telling him where they should go since Derozan has absolutely no say in whether or not he gets traded at all…
Do you really think Bosh would be against the idea of playing close to his hometown on the Spurs? Becoming the new face of the franchise (instead of playing second fiddle to Kobe or even third fiddle to Kobe and Pau) and getting to play with Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli?

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantBosh goes to Texas…Spurs would have tor trade Manu and Parker for Bosh though…Dallas would have to give up Dirk and Haywood. Rockets have to throw Scola and Battier, some of those picks they stole from NY maybe this years picks too… Brooks/Ariza/Bosh would be core…I think they could offer Yao and Battier and maybe keep a pick or two and keep Scola…But the deal the Rockets can and should Offer is
Yao, Scola, 2010 Lottery Pick or 2011/2012 NY picks(Euro Big or Guard/Forward)
For
Bosh and Derozen,Yao is a bit injury prone(understatement) but he is a top center when healthy…
Scola gives you that 3 Big man in the rotation that does all the dirty work Yao and Bargs. dont..
Lotto Pick or 2 to help build after Yao’s contract/career come to an end 1 or 2 years down the road…If all goes right the Raptors get 2 proven bigs…one who’s a longterm core guy and the other a top rated Center that will give you cap relief in year or two…not to mention Draft picks from NY or a Lotto pick this year…
The Rockets get hometown hero Bosh and Shooting Guard of the future to run with Brooks and Ariza…All they lose is a lotto pick this year or the picks they got from NY in 2011/2012…they’d get to add a piece this year in the draft without effecting long term goals…This trade is money…The NY picks get it done…not to mention Scola and Yao for 1 more run…This gets done…Bosh wants Texas team to call his Own…Rockets give him chance to win for next 5 years…They have young core and future in place….

– Kirk Hinrich
– Luol DengBy the way, how many Bosh topics do we need on here? Use the SEARCH BOX people!!!

OllstarParticipantToronto will agree they gave Calderon and Turkoglu bad contracts. So it’s no surprise to the rest of the league when they hear them in the sign-and-trade scenarios the Raptors are trying to facilitate. A Bosh, Calderon, Turkoglu trade to Dallas for Damp’s basically expiring contract, Butler a new Mav who can’t be missed, and the Kidd who will eventually get old. Butler and Kidd can still be all-stars on a Raptor squad with no Bosh. Bosh can play second fiddle to Dirk for a year and learn the ropes. Jose will do better in Dallas and can get the ball to Dirk. Turkoglu is a jack of all trades. This way I see Dallas and Toronto both improving. Dallas will be getting Bosh and bad contracts for little in comparision. Toronto get’s a good point in Kidd, an all-star to build around in Butler and a big to play along Bargnani in Damp.

SG- DeRozan
SF- Butler
PF- Bargnani
C- DampierPG- Terry
