NFL Draft
Fletcher Cox and Dontari Poe.......NO
Melvin Ingram is top 10, Michael Floyd is better than Justin Blackmon his character concerns hurt his stock, other than that seems about right
BTW who's your favorite team, who do you want them to draft
I'm a Packer fan. I've gotten really big into DT's lately which is why Cox and Poe are on the list, not to mention I did it off the top of my head. Floyd would've been higher if it weren't for the character issues. I didn't personally, but my school played his team in the State Championship in high school. I'm not all too high on Ingram.
As for who I would like to get I'm hoping Upshaw or another good pass rusher can fall to them, that's by far their biggest weakness.
Because I'm not doing it mock draft style. I think Trent Richardson will be a better RB then Griffin will be at QB. I also believe the same for Kalil and DeCastro.
RG3 at 5 is cool but I bet he is a better reciever than Blackmon and Floyd and the second best back in the draft after Richardson
I don't think I understand what you're trying to say.
But, I will always be absolutely biased to wanting the Ducks to succeed and probably have LaMichael James #1, lol. No, seriously, I have Luck #1, Kalil #2 and the rest is slightly similar to Y2G. Anyone in the WalterFootball.com Mock Draft contest? Free to enter, only 1st round, could win 350 bucks if you come in first. Here is how mine looks as of today (sure I will make changes):
1. QB Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts
2. QB Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins
3. OT Matt Kalil, Minnesota Vikings (If they trade this, will be pissed as a Vikings fan)
4. RB Trent Richardson, Cleveland Browns
5. CB Morris Claiborne, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
6. WR Justin Blackmon, St. Louis Rams
7. QB Ryan Tannehill, Seattle Seahawks (Trade with Jags. Think is dumb, but might be bound to happen)
8. DE Melvin Ingram, Miami Dolphins
9. DT Fletcher Cox, Carolina Panthers
10. ILB Luke Kuechly, Buffalo Bills
11. OG David DeCastro, KC Chiefs
12. WR Michael Floyd, Jacksonville Jaguars
13. OT Riley Reiff, Arizona Cardinals
14. DT Dontari Poe, Dallas Cowboys
15. DT Michael Brockers, Philadelphia Eagles
16. SS Mark Barron, New York Jets
17. CB Dre Kirkpatrick, Cincinnati Bengals
18. DE Quinton Coples, San Diego Chargers
19. OL Cordy Glenn, Chicago Bears
20. OLB/DE Courtney Upshaw, Tennessee Titans
21. OT Jonathan Martin, Cincinnati Bengals
22. CB Stephon Gilmore, Cleveland Browns
23. WR Kendall Wright, Chicago Bears (Think I predicted them trading for another first rounder)
24. ILB Dont'a Hightower, Pittsburgh Steelers
25. C Peter Konz, Denver Broncos
26. WR Stephen Hill, Houston Texans
27. DE Nick Perry, New England Patriots
28. OLB/DE Shea McClellin, Green Bay Packers
29. DE Andre Branch, Baltimore Ravens
30. TE Coby Fleener, San Francisco 49ers
31. RB Lamar Miller, New England Patriots
32. OT Mike Adams, New York Giants
Subject to change, but this is what I have for now. I will be interested in the first few rounds and to see where LaMike goes. Hoping some other Ducks get drafted. Josh Kaddu and David Paulson seem like relative locks. Cliff Harris is a gamer, but not sure he gets picked (if he does it will be late). Darron Thomas hopefully gets a chance, Eddie Pleasant and Mark Asper should be on someones roster. Draft should be interesting, could be a bunch of trades shaking things up.
Still, someone else could trade up. It is not as much the pick that matters as the player. They do not even have picks set up on it, you have to do them yourself (pain in the @ss). Did you guys see this yet?:
Not at all surprised and could kind of care less. I have never smoked. I used to be naiive enough (when I was a kid, mainly) to believe most athletes didn't either. But, as I have gotten older, this seems like pretty much a non-issue. That ESPN I guess wants to make into one, lol. Either way, thought this was kind of a funny article.
When I was a freshman I met a guy who said he came to U of O because of high times. He was a d-bag (for reasons beyond that). But, pretty sure he was not alone and I am not sure how much of an issue this really is. If it were hard drugs it would be one thing. Weed? Just kind of a snoozer, lol.

They give out the HS star ratings of everyone drafted in the first round. Only Trent Richardson, Matt Kalil, Michael Floyd and Dre Kirkpatrick were 5 star HS recruits. A lot of three star guys and a few totally under the radar. The margin for error in scouting these HS prospects is so huge. Three years is a LONG time for development and it is amazing how some of these guys were seen as "decent" HS prospects who actually turned into the first round NFL draft picks. There are always really exciting HS prospects out there, but the 3 star guy you bring in might be even better than that 5 star come summer practice. Seems to happen a lot.
I was really hoping the Pack could pick him up at 62, but regardless the Packers have had an awesome draft.
Of course I am a new 49ers fan! Not only did they bring back one of my all-time favorite players (and renowned shady person) Randy Moss, but now they have my favorite Duck player of all-time. They made an amazing decision and will be rewarded handsomely. Still love the Vikes, but I am going to definitely be rooting hard for the 49ers now.
LaMichael James is a star. Absolutely believe it, he is a warrior. 49ers fans will absolutely love him and he will be a weapon. Not surprised he slipped, was projected to even go lower. Well, a lot of teams made mistakes. 49ers were smart.
My brother and I were yelling and relieved at his being drafted. My brother's favorite team is the 49ers, as is some other members of my family. Have friends in the Bay, might even check a game out next year. So hyped for LaMike, think this is a fantastic place for him.
He'll be great as a change of pace guy next to Gore.
As great as Gore is and has been, he only has 1 or at the very most 2 years left at a premier featured back level, and as great as he is and hard to tackle, he is pretty slow, he doesn't have any downhill speed, he can't really breakaway for those 50 yard runs anymore, someone will be sure to catch him unless he muscles them out, but that's why I really hope Kendall Hunter continues to improve and can split time 60-40 with Gore, because our offensive line is awesome. James will have to earn his carries, I don't expect him to get many this year, but wouldn't be surprised if he does, I really like his potential and downright blazing speed, great pickup.
And as much as I want us to win, we aren't the most talented team, we really grinded games out, it was one of those once in a liftime sort of things where a team gets on an amazing role due to their heart and passion(just like my SF Giants did in 2010) and have an amazing season, so although I hope we do well, I'm not expecting more than 9 or 10 wins and winning our pathetic division.
Kendall is the same size as LaMike, only slower. He has one year of experience on him, but if Kendall Hunter splits carries with Gore 60/40, that is a massive mistake. The 49ers have a nice core of RB's, though. Gore is great when he is healthy, but is an injury in waiting. You forget, Aamir, that the 49ers signed Brandon Jacobs. That dude is a short yardage monster and will more than likely be the goal line back.
LaMichael will be a third down, change of pace guy. At least that is what he will be to start. But, he is the exact same size as Kendall Hunter, only faster and with an even stronger skill set. From the way Jim Harbaugh is talking about him, he is excited. Expect LaMichael James to have a Darren Sproles type role and Harbaugh sees the value of him in the red zone. He should, after all, LaMichael ran for 257 yards and 3 TD's the last time Harbaugh coached Stanford against Oregon.
