In yesterday’s NBA PM, we

In yesterday’s NBA PM, we took a look at the teams in the Eastern Conference facing the most pressure. The West is no different, as there are five teams who have to achieve high levels of success in order to fulfill expectations and avoid significant changes. Here’s an in-depth look at who those teams are and why 2012-13 is so big for them:

The presence of proven

The presence of proven veterans like Andrei Kirilenko and Brandon Roy is something the team has desperately needed in recent years. Their contributions off the court should go a long way in helping this team grow, but they have to be sizable contributors on it, as well. Roy, who prematurely retired due to troublesome knees last year, especially needs to have a good year. He’s filling in at the shooting guard position, which has been a weakness of the Timberwolves for years.

According to Chris Daniels of

According to Chris Daniels of KING 5 the Seattle City Council and the Chris Hansen investor group have come to an agreement on the financial terms for a new sports arena near Safeco Field. The city of Seattle is eager for the NBA to return and this new arena may be what seals the deal. Look for them to be associated with the Sacramento Kings in relocation rumors more and more as the season progresses.

His surrounding cast is

His surrounding cast is talented and full of potential. However, as a team they sorely lack experience and they still have a lot of chemistry they need to build. There’s a saying that you have to learn to fail before you learn to succeed and that’s what phase the Cavaliers will endure this year. If Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters grow leaps and bounds throughout the course, they could be playoff bound next season. For now, a bump up the Central Division is most probably.

"He makes (my game) a lot

"He makes (my game) a lot easier. I can move without the ball and just trust that he'll make the right decision. It's as simple as that. I really don't have to work (as) hard to get opportunities. I find openings within the defense, and he makes the defense pay."

Center Dwight Howard verifies everything Bryant said.

"(Nash and Bryant) know how to play basketball," Howard said after practice."Being the guards, they understand how the offense has to run, and Steve has done an excellent job in finding the open guy. We're just going to play off that.,jgkgjg

“We’ve always liked Eddy,”

“We’ve always liked Eddy,” Nelson continued. “He’s got soft hands and he’s got a nice low-post game. He’s gone on some hard times at the age of 29 and, with a family, people grow up. He’s put in a lot of work this summer and put himself in a great position. I think it was a numbers thing down in San Antonio, but we’re going to take a good hard look at him.”
