He having a pretty good game tonight. But don’t give him too much credit for scoring, but everything else is great. He’s rebounding like a man and defending the rim without fouling. He scored a lot tonight but the bulls are either fouling or doubling eveybody leaving him open for dunk he hasn’t really done anything in 1 on 1 situations. He’s is looking good tho. This game showed me the bulls have too many problems and rose needs to step his game up he gets too much credit for not doing a lot this year. Its not still last year. I’m so hard on rose cuz I love the bulls and he gets too much credit and he not as great as he gets credit for. Deng needs more touches also. Sorry for getting off topic I just hate seeing them lose like this

It’s good to see you give Oden his credit. He was dominate tonight. One thing not to overlook is the way he PASSED out of the double team. He was patient and made the right pass majority of the time. He’d pass out and then repost. If he didn’t get the ball back, he’d crash the offensive boards.

One on one, he was good. He showed a nice variety of moves, including a couple of spin moves. His hook shot was good tonight. He was on point from the free-throw line and had a very efficient game. His offense on the block is still a work in progress, but he showed major improvement tonight.

Whyd u say to give him no credit for scoring? thats all they need him to do is to score on easy baskets and put himself in a position to score, they already have scorers on this team and anything over 15 pts a night is just whip cream on top of the cake

Oden did more than just score tonight. He looked like their number one option. They established him early.

Oden had 24 points, 7/8 FG, 10-12 FT and 12 boards. The boy was on point tonight and was posting hard… Hungry for that ball. He stayed out of foul trouble and blocked/contested shots without fouling. Got his first interview with NBATV lol. I’m proud of him tonight. He’s got to keep this up though.

couldnt agree more with you rudeboy. odens impact on games dont always show up in the box score but hes got his prints over every game. if you watch the blazers on any consistant basis youl notice how they just playbetter when oden is in the game. even if he ends with 4 points and 7 rebounds that doesnt show how many shots he affected or discouraged

EXACTLY people. Oden has the potential to dominate the PAINT at both ends, while Durant dominates the perimeter offensively ONLY. Oden doesn’t need to score to impact the game, while if Durant isn’t scoring… He’s doing NOTHING. Oden is also extremely unselfish. Even when he had it going on offense, he never hesitated to pass out of double teams. I’m not taking anything away from Durant… He’s a great offensive player, BUT… He’s a chucker. He also doesn’t play D or make his teammates better.

As I said at the beginning of the season QUINCEY HODGES… Give Oden time and I think by the mid-point of the season, he’ll be Portland’s 3rd option.

Anyone that still questions why Portland picked Oden over Durant..Checkout this stat…Notice the difference when Oden Scores over 14 points and when Durant scores over 20 points…..Portland usually wins…Oden’s rebounding & shotblocking has more impact on a game…Just having that defensive force guarding the post makes players have 2nd thoughts about entering the lane……

oden is starting to come into himself. he dominated the game on both ends last night and won the battle against noah who had been tearing it up until last night. of coures he will have games where he doesnt stuff the stat sheet or gets into foul trouble but i think we will be seeing more and more of the oden from last night. tezo i can tell you know odens game well i hate when people hate on the blazers for not picking durant but i wouldnt take it back. as i said just by running up and down the floor oden is impacting the game where as durant needs shots to be effective. he will be competing for scoring titles no doubt but if odens body holds up he will be challanging for championships. injurys are the only thing that i can see slowing him down but i hooooope hes done with them i love watching oden rock the rim

why do you say durant only scores he’s 1 of the top rebounder for his position and gives you a block and a steal every night hes a complete player. Just cuz he’s not getting a lot of assists people act like he only scores. How many small fowards acually get a lot of assists besides the point fowards?

Durant is a complete player? How so? I disagree 100%.

He averages 6.9 rebounds per game. At 6′ 9″ with a 7+ foot wingspan and being as fluid as he is, he should average that just by coincidence. He’s a opportunistic rebounder. It’s not like he dominates in that area or crashes the offensive glass.

He averages 1.5 steals and .80 blocks per game, but he’s a below average defender on the perimeter and in the post. When have you ever seen Durant stop anybody on D?

It’s not even about his assist numbers, etc. Most small forwards, unless they’re point forwards, don’t average a lot of assists. However, he just doesn’t make his teammates that much better. He’s a chucker. He rarely makes that extra pass or tries to create off the dribble for his teammates. When Durant isn’t scoring, he’s honestly not that effective.

The ONLY area of the floor he dominates is on the offensive end where he averages 27.1 points on 20.6 field goal attempts per game.

Oden’s PER this season is 23 which is way above the league average.  I’m a believer in Oden, it was only a matter of time before he adjusted to the pros. That is why I picked him on my fantasy team haha.  He is a monster.

its one game good lord..lol..hes still no better then a third option. he had a career night it happens. durant is still better and his post game gets better every year. oden is still foul prone. man ya’ll go crazy off of one dominate game..how about we wait to see if he can be consistant..makes sense doesnt it

I love proving you wrong Quincey lol. Did you or did you not say that Oden wouldn’t be the 3rd option this season? Did you or didn’t you say that the Blazers wouldn’t run their offense through him or run any plays through him?

It’s not just the fact he had a career night. He’s been playing extremely well the last four games averaging 18.5 points, 10.25 rebounds and 2.5 blocks over the last four games. The boy is improving. Give him his credit.

Stop being hypocritical man. “Let’s wait and see if he can be consistent. Makes sense doesn’t it.” Lol… Did you say that when Jennings outplayed Rose? Did you say that when Jennings had a couple of good games lol? You and the other Jennings bandwagon jumpers were ready to declare him the best point guard in the league after 5 games. Just stop being so hypocritical man and give Oden his due credit lol.

and jennings has proven what he can do. man its funny how someone ya’ll claim oden cant do anything wrong. like hes already a all star or something. who said jennings is the best pg in the leauge?..just said i like him better then rose and he out played him which he did. unliek you im not gonna make a bunch of excuses like” oh wait hes injured”..hes out there playing so theres no excuse. and i stated the obvious when i said i have to wait till oden in more conistant. so now im wrong for having that as an OPINION. see thats the beauty of a opinion its what i think. dont really care if you agree or not and you can call it whatever you like to make you feel better but im not changing my mind. sorry bra. and durant is still better in my book. and you can continue to take points away for not agreeing with me if it makes you feel better. really dont care. and you try to down play durant’s rebound because he has a long reach which makes zero sense. that no different then me saying oden should average 15 rebounds and 7blks because he’s tall and more athletic then other big men he faces. if you are gonna use one thing to down play what durant does then you have to do the same thing for oden. if you dont then thats being hypocritical
