Chilbert arenasParticipantRemember it’s early and haven’t seen a whole lot of all these guys but at this point I’d take
1.)McLemore
2.) tHOMAS
3.) Porter
4.)MCW
5.) Mitchell
6.) Hardaway
7.) Canaan
8.) Leslie0 - Posted on: Wed, 12/05/2012 - 8:32am #731827
RUDEBOY_Participant1.Goodwin-I think he has a bigger upside then McLemore…McLemore average ball handling ability concerns me..
2.McDerMott-Thomas seems like a guy that will fill a role off the bench..McDermott might struggle at the next level and spend his entire career as a journeyman or if he gets with the right team he could surprise…Becuz he can create his own shot, rebound and post..Might be another Ryan Anderson…..
3.Porter-I use to feel Porter was vastly overrated, but the more i see him i like him…Not a star .but a guy in the Tayshawn Prince mold, that do the little things that coaches love…
4.MCW- He’s starting to look like a young Reggie Theus..
5.McAdoo
6.This is tough..Both have huge negatives…And despite what the media & fans say, scouts and GMs arent that high on either of them..Thats why they decided to come back and improve their stock..But if i had to choose it’ll be Hardaway jr…
7.McCallum-Reminds me of CJ Watson…Canaan seems to struggle making plays for teammates at times..And thats terrible for a point guard….
8.Franklin-You have the most underrated player and the most overrated player in the draft…After all the workouts are done, Franklin might ease into the lottery….Leslie runs the floor well and is a great athlete, but a bit overrated….Leslie plays for high profile program, and athletic guys like him usually kills it at the combines..He might fool someone into taking him much higher then he should really go…..

uabasketballParticipant1- Archie Goodwin vs Ben McLemore – haven’t seen much of McLemore but i think goodwin can be like a d wade if he wants it bad enough
2- Deshaun Thomas vs Doug McDermott – Thomas, can score from nearly anywhere
3- Otto Porter vs Alex Poythress – Poythress, already showed he can be a man amongst boys against Duke
4- Michael Carter-Williams vs Lorenzo Brown – MCW, after seeing Brown get absolutely worked by Marcus Smart he’s dropped a lot in my book
5- Tony Mitchell vs James Mcadoo – Mitchell, higher ceiling and way more of an athlete. never been a fan of Mcadoo
6- Tim Hardaway Jr vs CJ Wilcox – Hardaway. I think Wilcox can have a nice NBA career but between two career inconsistent players i gotta go with the one thats got the highest upside.
7- Ray McCallum vs Isaiah Canaan – McCallum. I’ve seen him more than Canaan but he can flat out play. can carry team and wants it

8- Jamaal Franklin vs CJ Leslie – easy, Franklin everytime0- Posted on: Wed, 12/05/2012 - 11:04am #731841
OfficialI think he wants to. I heard the commentator said he’s been putting extra time working on his jumper. getting 30 minute earlier to practice and extra early to pre game shoot out.
I would take him over McLemore because of his higher ceiling. I think you are right, he can be a Wade type of player.0

RUDEBOY_ParticipantDunleavy intangibles& talent is superior to both of those guys….He just has never been able to put it all 2gether….Dunleavy went 3rd in the draft, becuz he looked like a future star..Anderson and McDermott were and are considered borderline 1st rounders…Guys that might become role players…..

For_Never_EverParticipantI’ll definitely take Jamal Franklin. Other then him being likely top 5 best athletes in college, plays a lot bigger, always attacking the rim with force. He is able to be a lock-down defender at the next level in my opinion, if he puts his mind into it. Lacks good handle, will be only a two/three dribble drive guy offensively with only a decent jump shot. This isn’t really based off anything, but I think he could have an attitude problem and character issues.

ChewyParticipantbut the recent success of Kyle Singler makes me think that there really is a place in the NBA for Doug to be successful.
