OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER AT #3
Why are people assuming Rubio will be drafted by the Grizz? The Memphis Grizzlies have so many problems, but the guard position (Conley, Mayo) is, maybe, the only bright spot. If I'm the Grizzlies, I would stockpile picks and trade down. I bet the Knicks would LOVE Rubio at two, and would be willing to trade up.
I think they should get Jennings. Westbrook is great but he is not a true point. It would be sick to see them runnin' n gunnin'. Thabeet just isn't ready to do anything yet, and a floor leader is just as important as a center.
either way, the thunder will be fine.
thabeet - rumors have been saying the griz were a team that might have picked thabeet ahead of griffen anyways, so i'm guessing he will be gone. if not, great fit. westbrook at pg, durant at sf, green at pf and thabeet at c. maybe mason at sg.
rubio - move westbrook to more natural sg position. both between 6-3 and 6-4 and long armed enough to guard sg's. rubio at pg, westrook at sg, durant at sf and green at pf. pray that swift can play be injury free.
harden - great shooter, would work well with westbrook since he is a strong penetrator. westbrook at pg, harden at sg, durant at sf and green at pf. again, pray swift can be injury free.
Harden with Westbrook, Green and Durant would be amazing. They do really need a center, so I wouldn't be too dissapointed if they picked Thabeet. If OKC could get Rubio they don't have to think twice.
I think #3 is too high for Jennings or DeRozen.
bstar is right but rubio is the number 2 pick for sure thabeet is going to surprise alot of people hes alot more althetic than people think and could develop a mid rnage jumper gasol rudy and thabet is an amazing frontline mayo and conley just need to start working with them more
why isnt westbrookl a tru pg?..he played the position very well..good ast as can score and got better at setting people up...i watched 80 percent of there games and he can play the pg period so im not understand why yall would want him to move to shooting guard
I agree with josh_huestis Westbrook is a solid PG. If they get Thabeet they have a projected top defensive center in the league for years to come. A top 3 Scorer in the NBA in Kevin Durant. Russell Westbrook. They get Thabeet there set at another low draft pick next year get a good pikc probably a guy like Greg Monroe Ed Davis or one of the other plentiful PFs coming out next year and they are set maybe sign a decent SG. This team will be good in 3 years. Scratch that they will be GREAT!
What ever you say Josh. Rubio or Jennings would definitely be better at the Point, plus Thabeet is GARBAGE. I would never waste my 3rd pick on a guy like that. He is not as great on D as many people think, plus he is not a good rebounder at all. He gets thrown around way too much for my liking and it shouldn't get too much better once he hits the NBA hardwood.
what makes you think rubio would be better at the point then westbrook...im still waiting on some type of evidence he is ready to step in from jump..his numbers are only 9pts 6ast and 3 turnovers a game..he doesnt dominate his defense is lacking any time he has checked a american guard ..as a matter of fact louis bullock just gave him a tough 22pts ..tarq dean gives him work every time they have played and chris thomas has also..the only guards he seems to play good d against is the non athletic guards..then ou have to take into account the game is different here so hes gonna take some yars to reach his potential hear...yall gotta stop judgeing a player off you tube clips and a couple moments of olympics and instead see him in his leauge games before anointing him the starter on teams ..esspecially over a very good player like westbrook...personally im not the biggest fan of thabeet and wouldnt be mad if okc decided to trade the pick for a good player and a later pick..
They’ve had horrendous luck with BIGS in the past so I'd skip on Thabeet, and Hill, Rubio will be gone so trade down and get future/lower picks and proven veteran talent (I think DeRozan is a good fit with his upside and this team being so young and them being able to grow and improve together). Also I'm not sold on Green at the 4 I think his ceiling is too low, would be an excellent backup but I think they should go in another direction if they truly wanna contend.
i agree with the comment about green at the 4 but i keep being proven wrong by his play..for some reason i just dont like him as the future 4. i do like the derozen pick though but i think id like evans better there since he can also play the point so you can change up the duties at any given time between him and westbrook depending on whos real hot at the time
i keep flip flopping with thabeet because he has a pretty high bust factor..he is a good shot blocker but his offense is pretty bad and hes a horrible rebounder especially for his size and is pretty soft....but at the same time hes pretty athletic so i dont know..its doesnt help that every big man who is supposse to have great potential at center and a good shot blocker that they have picked recently stunk it up....im actually kinda liking the thought of them trading down and picking up evans as a back court mate with westbrook since both can alternate if one gets hot ..or demar derozen
I'd trade back maybe 1 or 2 spots, draft Jennings, have Jennings and Westbrook, with Durant, Green. Then trade there other 1st round pick and a 2nd and an expiring contract to get Tyson Chandler. They'd then have a lineup of:
PG: Jennings
SG: Westbrook
SF: Durant
PF: Green
C: Chandler
they had there shot at tyson and the doctors and management dont like how his ankle will look in the future..and i hope the green at the 2 was a typo cuz thats laughable

I am a die hard Sonics fan... not unfortunately turned Oklahoma Thunder fan (even though I hate the ownership...) Anyways...what to the Thunder do at pick #3? Assuming that they stay at #3 with no trades, etc.
I am stuck between Thabeet (if avaliable), Harden, and Rubio (if avaliable)...
What do you all think...
