In retrospect I guess you are right, we are getting ahead of ourselves. What if Oladipo ends up as good as Aaron Affalo though, I think that is totally in his wheel house. What team wouldn’t want Affalo, he didn’t have any trade rumors because the Magic have absolutely no reason to trade him. A healthy Affalo is a good piece to a good team.

I been meaning to ask you if you would mind if I changed my name to ClevelandBasketballer as a homage to one of the better posters, yourself, and one of the worse, European Baller.

Arron is an over-rated player and, while being a good player, I, for one, would have much rather had Afflalo traded to the Bucks than JJ.

You don’t need to see someone play an NBA game to have an opinion on who will be better. Man these answers annoy me.

IDK but if Waiters had Oladipo’s motor, he really would be D Wade. However he doesn’t but he is more skilled than Oladipo and his shot translates better to the NBA 3 point line. Waiter’s handle is excellent and his hesitation left is unstoppable, except when he stops it by returning to that step back left long two. I going to go with Waiter’s but Oladipo just plays to d@mn hard to hate. He should be wildly successful if he calms down on offense. Oladipo has saved a lot of Indiana games this year but he has also turned the ball over right before that also. He will definitely be a better defender than Dion who could be above average but probably will be just an average defender.

I fully expect Waiters to average 20, 4, 4, after the all star break next year, so thats a damn good player to be better than. Oladipo will be an “energy small”, something like a shooting guard version of Bledsoe, so thats a damn good player also. Neon Dion is my boy but this is a toss up. Waiters does learn from his mistakes which is good if Oladipo can do the same they will both be good.

They both seem like great on ball defenders that lack true Sg size but make up for it with hard work and athleticism

Waiters is a JR Smith Clone, without AS MUCH of an attitude.

I am a huge Indiana fan, but i worry that Olidipo’s outside shooting is fool’s gold. I think he has improved, but i do not think he is as good as his stats show this year. I think he is Tony Allen with an outside shot.

It depends on what you want for your team. If you need a bench scorer who can get hot in a hurry, Waitiers is your guy. If you want a shut-down defender who plays off-ball, scores efficiently, but has limitations to create his own shot, then Olidipo is your guy.
