monkey23ParticipantAs a former Orlando Magic (back when they had Shaq and when Howard took them to the finals) fan, I’m upset about this trade. I think the following trades would’ve helped them more.
Lopez, Brooks + 3 first round draft picks
Horford + Teague + first round draft pick
Curry + Bogut
Lamb + Jones + White
Bynum + Gasol
Hibbert + George
Favors + Burkes
Bosh + Jones + Battier
Griffin + Bledsoe
I think they juped the gun and could’ve gotten more for Howard. Plus the Magic would’ve been much more competitive.
What do y’all think?
Go Lakers and Heat !!!!!!

TomShoeParticipantThey’re going to follow the OKC/SA model, and part 1 of that is tanking hard.
Although all those would have helped them, they wanted to avoid the dreaded treadmill of mediocrity that plagues teams like Houston and Phoenix.
I wouldn’t be suprised if they were the worst team in the league, though Houston and Charlotte are going to give them a run for their money.

220ParticipantCurry + Bogut and Griffin + Bledsoe weren’t even on the table.
I bet the Magic are kicking themselves that they didn’t just deal Dwight to the Rockets on draft night. On draft night they were offering multiple picks in the draft that just passed they were going to take back one bad contract and likely would’ve dealt Kevin Martin and likely someone else as well.
