I strongly feel someone in the past ask the question, but I might have failed to come pass the post in the past. I'm curious to see how others on this site would give an overall rating for guys like Lebron, Kobe, D12, CP3, Wade and Melo before they entered the draft, the year they were drafted? Durant got 105 overall by this site. To me as fans of this site and I go as far back as 2006 I love the rating system.
The six guys I have listed I gave them a overall score and Lebron had the best overall score, I used the same evaluation (the twelve category) this site use for all player they rate guards/wings and post players. The Overall Rating is out of 120.
Each player overall rating from my evaluation.
Lebron - 113
Kobe - 111
CP3 - 111
Wade - 105
D12 - 108
Melo - 109
You're saying you rated these guys this high before they entered the NBA? Because Dwight was insanely raw and still is actually no post moves yet relies on size and hops.
The system for rating players on here is good but terribly flawed sometimes, I mean Eddy Curry and Kwame Brown both got a 109 on here! And Geral Wallace got a 105 and was compared to Dominique Wilkins, a Deshawn Stevenson being compared to (gasp) Michael Jordan...
The early scouting reports on this site were... lets say... overly optimistic? I think I remember seeing someone have a score over 10 for something, which is flat ridiculous.
For example do you really think Kobe would have been rated that highly out of high school? What would Ray Allen score on it?
And I feel my numbers are high.
The rating system for this site.

Lebron Profile out of High School, You can't disagree with that evaluation.
