Just wondering if you saw the video of Patric Young’s crazy workout

What do you think of him? He’s projected as a second round pick, he’s a superstrong power forward that plays like a centre, do you think he can be a good player in the league?

Why would you think it would improve his IQ?! These are the kind of workouts that make you become a freakin monster on the court. Kobyz… You were probably the skinny little wing, getting eaten alive by players like this. Sure his skills need some work, but he’s still gonna be a monster on the court this year and I’d guess, late first round pick.

He’s already a physical monster on the court… a big stiff monster.  He can keep up his strength training if he wants, but IMO, he needs to supplement it with more flexiblity training. Flexibility leads to better touch and fluidity which is necessary for basketball players, especially if they have aspirations to be something more than a banger.

IMO for basketball players: strong, lean and flexible > stronger, bulky and stiff.

He’s 1 of those players that could go in the 1st round ,2nd round or go Undrafted..It all depends on who likes him….As Kobyz mentioned ,he lacks a complete understanding of the game and he has no offensive game, besides dunking….But he’s a good defender, rebounds well, very athletic and finishes at the rim…

Thats a beast workout!! honestly, I played Patrick a year ago and I’ve watched several of his game. I think he’ll be a decent NBA player. Just because his offensive skill set is not very good, doesnt mean that he has no IQ. The guy knows his playing identity. He’s a banger and he does his job great, which is rebound, block shots, play one on one defense, fill the lanes, set brutal picks to free guys up, duck in hard, and dunk the ball. I dont understand why you guys say he has a low IQ. But I agree with rudeboy, he can go 1st rd, 2nd, or undrafted.
