I like them both, and Derozan has started producing good numbers on a fairly consistent basis this year, so let’s hope he can keep that progression going.  George has a ton of upside and I really like his game on the offensive side of the ball. He just needs to get more experience on the defensive end and he could become a hell of a player.

I love Georges game but playing behind Granger won’t give him nearly enough PT, DeMar has been playing insane lately and is starting to catch his stride.

    My vote goes to DeMar.

The problem with DeRozan not being able to shoot from the perimeter remains. Until he fixes that, I don’t think the Raptors can win with him being in as big a role as he is.

George has better mechanics, so he should be better on that front. He also had a good line against the Hawks, but the numbers came in the 4th quarter of a blowout. With him being a rookie, it is hard to make too much of his early struggles.

I like Paul George’s potential alot better. He is has potential to be a deadly 3 PT shooter to go along with his length and athleticism, could be a poor man Danny Granger. Derozan is still behind George as a shooter, which is why I think George is likely to reach his potential more than Derozan.

Yeah, Derozan’s jumper has never been something to boast about.. George is already a fairly effective stand-still jump shooter, so he has a leg up on Demar in that respect.

I think George will be a solid third option, while being a very good defender. He shoots well, has very good athleticism and runs the floor. I’m worried about his ball handling though, and he seems to put his head down and get tunnel vision.

Good point. From the games I’ve watched, George’s ball handling does need some improvement. He dribbles the ball recklessly and is a little too nonchalant. That’s just something that comes with going from college to the pro’s, I assume. He’ll hopefully work on that this upcoming offseason. I like him as a player though.

i like them both also, havent seen too much of George this season though, but from the little that i’ve seen, every time he gets 13-15 mins he puts up about 8-14 pts, to be that productive in as little time as he gets is pretty impressive to me. He can already shoot the ball consistently from mid-3pt range and just like DeRozan he is a freak athlete. DeRozan has been good this season but needs to gain shooting consistency. I like George better in terms of having a higher ceiling though its real early to make that statement, his game and skill set just translates to the league really well

George has already made strides in terms of improving his ball handling from college to the league, if he keeps going at the same pace he’ll be more than alright

DeMar has shown improvements this year in his shooting, primarily just his mid-range game but you can tell  he’s putting in the work to get better. His game shouldn’t be focused on outside shooting though, he does a good job getting to the line especially this year.

He’s a much more effective slasher than anything so if he embraces that as a player he could be really effective.

George was my pick for a sleeper in that draft so it will be fun to see him get better.

I like them both, but I think George has the higher ceiling. They both aren’t great ball-handlers, but George has the better jumpshot. But DeRozan has started to come on of late and George plays well in the limited minutes he receives so I hope they keep progressing.

I would have to go with DeMar on this because he has shown a lot of improvement this year and ESPECIALLY with his jump shot. In the last few games, his shot has been on fire. Today against the Kings he was 13-20 from the field. Here’s the link if anyone wants to see the highlights for today’s game.

His game game is picking up the more he plays and as the season progresses.

Right now he is shooting 47% from the field, but his 3pt shooting is terrible. He definitely needs to work on that.

Id say George has the higher ceiling since hes taller with a longer wingspan, and hes nearly just as athletically gifted as demar. I know Derozan has a good work ethic and hes already improving so much so i feel like hes well on his way to reaching his potential. Havent seen much of george this year and dont know if hes as hard of a worker, cause thats mainly what it comes down to for younger players with potential. But i think George can be a future allstar.

I’d say that George has a higher ceiling, but circumstances will see DeRozan end up the better player. Unless Granger is traded I don’t see George getting the minutes needed to develop and reach his potential, whereas DeRozan is working hard and getting minutes. In a few years he’ll be the Raptors’ go-to guy and the only thing holding him back is his outside shooting, which you’d hope will improve in time.

George could end up getting his chance sooner than later because I think the Pacers are serious about trading Granger if the right deal falls on the table. The Pacers are tired of him settling for jumpshots and not defending like he did when he first entered the league.
