Okay everybody really needs to chill out with the points…….well what im trying to say is aroud yesterday i had 250 points and today i have 215……so i checked my points and checked which post i did bad on and someone actually went as far as going to every post i have ever done and give me a minus……honestly this isn’t amazing race 1st to 1000 points but im just trying to be more knowledgeable at the game, so i can try to be a sports analyst, but with someone acting like a kid, and minus all my previous post is just childish…….so lets just be professional and rate abything you think is bad or anything you think is good……and i also saw knicksfan have alot of pints a few weeks ago and now he down to less then a 100 and the guy is very smart in the sport…so people just rate according to how good or bad the post is and don’t be bias

What I also thought was a joke, was that you could easily give yourself a point. Kind of defeats the purpose of a point system if you can give yourself a point for everything you say.

I’ve seen some guys give themselves a point for EVERY post. Ridiculous. If you didn’t think you were making a good point, you wouldn’t be posting. I was agravated. but decided it doesn’t matter. Disregard the points and share in the discussion. That’s the spirit of this site.

I don’t like the point system but someone had their account locked because of being minus too much so to avoid this I do give myself points on all posts. I tend to say smart things anyway but I don’t trip to much on it but I hate when a person gives you a minus and does not explain why they disagree.I dont care about the minus if you have a legit argument. Also I am not going to lose my account because of negatives and I know I would if I left it to other people because I am older and I tend to be right because I actually study this game a lot for many years but all of my opinion and thoughts are not popular. i would rather be right than be on a bandwagon. A lot of stuff i have posted if people go back and check it after the season 80 percent I will be right on maybe more than that.

I also give people i knows points for anything positve and i tend to give people i know should not be in the minus points like D Hamp. DHamp imagine where you would be lol if I did not do this. Since you don’t talk about Howard to much now I have no reason to not want to give you points. I rarely take away points unless someone says something really stupid and they will know it was me because sometimes i will tell them or it will be a post under there asking them what are they thinking. I tend to just post stuff now and not work about it because I should never be in the minus now being up 200 something. I am not on here to debate but to learn other people’s thoughts. I think most people myself included who actually have facts to support their opinions do not care about other people opinions who seem to lack any kind of credibility.

Overall, I think the point system is still a bad idea. Like I said, if people are giving themselves a point for every post then that defeats the purpose of having the point system.

I’m sure the original idea of implementing the point system was to persuade people to post quality ideas, thus being rewarded by the rest of the community, and thus gaining some type of respectability on the forum as someone who knows what the hell they are talking about.

However, I’m sure most people don’t judge anyone’s opinion/post based on how “points” they currently have. If you are on the forum on a daily basis then you can pretty much separate the people who know what they are talking about from the ones who don’t. No one needs a point system to tell them otherwise.

Lastly, I see too many people getting points for just simply copying and pasting an article word for word. I’m not for sure if that is considered plagiarism, but it would be easier to paste the link to the article and then discuss your own opinion on the matter all in one post.

I was not on here to defend myself but now I am. I have said many things and one of them was I see Sessions as top 5 point guard and this was after i made a point guard list of some sort was not perfect but was pretty close. Based of what you saw about Session what about his game not counting the stats he put in limited minutes says he is not a top 5. I will admit like I did in another post I was wrong by like a small amount about Howard and Randolph even though it was going off some measurements that may not be accurate of today but it was a measurement and it showed I was wrong by a small amount. Tony Parker is combo guard. Since when did Tony Parker become a pure point. Scoring is his biggest thing and he does most of it in the paint area. He after all his years in the NBA is an average playmaker. A while back the Spurs wanted to sign Kidd and pair him with Parker. I am not making this up so any of yall can go check it out. Sacramento have more than 3 small forwards on their team so why do they need someone else. They could possibly trade one of theirs for someone that fits thier style better or for someone that has a star potential but hey have 3 solid small forward and a combo forward who is young in Donte Green who could become a poor man Rashard Lewis. Their only need that I saw off last year was at Point guard and Center. Evans is at the point guard spot and they added Rodriegazs with Benu already there. Evans should be a star and hopefully a better playmaker overtime and the other two are quality back ups. Garcia is nice but sometimes inconsistent and he can bk up Martin at 2 as well. The also just drafted that foreign guy. They are a young team that is waiting to develop. They have enough small forwards. Nocioni is not a star but solid. Unless they got a star why would they need another small forward. Also I said that in the context of they should not be so desperate for that position that they sign someone with the cap space they are saving for next year. They are not making the playoffs with what they have now or anyone some team would give or anyone they could sign. They may as well keep what they have and let the young players play. I also Added they should make trade Nocioni for depth at positions they lacked. There are enough quality swingman out there that is they were weak at that position they could grab someone on the cheap. What is your argument saying they need a small forward. Also who should the sign and for how much. I don’t know of any small forward that they could get cheap that would be better than Nocioni. They don’t need to spend this year for a small forward when that is not a real need and will not make this much better than waiting until next. honestly if you were a GM for the Kings you would go get them a small forward from the list of how is actually available and overpay them when you have serviceable people there.
