Quick Question
These guys, along with Jeremy Holowell, are the only college basketball players I've seen up close. (They ate at the same cafeteria as us journalism camp students all week).
You're right in saying that they are only about 2 inches apart in height. But, if anything, Perea's listed height is correct, and Jurkin's is a little exaggerted. No way Perea is 6'10". I'd say they are about 6'8" and 6'10/6'11"
So would you say Hanner and Jeremy looked to be the same height then bc Hollowell is listed at 6'8 too.. I wanna see them on the court next to Cody bc I have heard he has grown a little to 7' and even if that's not true he is a legit 6'11
I'm just really excited for them to get out there and play especially Perea! I see a ton of highlight plays in his future..
Does anybody know any legitimate measurements for Hanner Mosquera-Perea and Peter Jurkin? These are the two big men for IU that got suspended the first 9 games for those who don't know and they get to play their next game against Butler if I'm not mistaken.
I ask this because when I have seen them next to each other Jurkin looks to be maybe 2 inches taller than Perea. But when I looked them up Jurkin was listed at 7' and Perea was only listed at 6'8. If Perea is 6'9 or at least close to 6'10 then he will be getting some serious looks from NBA teams next year when Zeller leaves. This guy has work to do offensively but he is very long and a freak athlete. Honestly he is like Chris Walker just less developed skill-wise. Crean has been so good at developing his players and their athletic trainers have pushed their whole team incredibly hard to gain muscle and have amazing endurance. I have no doubt in my mind that Perea is a sleeper to be a mid first rounder after a couple years of developing and getting stronger.
