CodySLCParticipantI dont see why he would play for the Bobcats? I would think he would sign with a contender and try to get another ring.

BELLY333333Participant“The difference is they’ll channel it the right way. They’ll come out in practice, work hard and make our team better. I think playing time will never be an issue.”

trwe32332ParticipantThis is a pivotal year for Rajon Rondo and the Boston Celtics. He has had the role of leader, and the trust inherent with that role, bestowed upon him from all who matter in Boston. If Rondo can prove that he is worthy, that the blips and blunders of the past are truly part of his past, the this year’s Celtics team, and those teams for the next near decade, will be led quite well.

lwokesaParticipantOK, now for the bad news. Irving shot just 2-for-15. Last year, he struggled mightily against Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich (then with the Hawks). That continued Friday. Hinrich (14 points, eight assists, four rebounds) blocked Irvings shot twice, stripped the ball from Irving twice, and just generally stayed in front of him. Its nothing to be cry about, though. Hinrichs one of the leagues best backcourt defenders.

lwokesaParticipant“Goran’s dribble penetration had a lot to do with that,” Gentry said. “And I think our spacing was a lot better than it was the day before in Sacramento.”
It also should be noted that Friday’s first half didn’t offer a steady diet of Corner alignments. Several half-court possessions featured an overload that included a baseline or “flex” screen designed to create an open lay-up or post up for the cutter.

lwokesaParticipantBut with versatile front-court players such as Scola, Beasley and second-year pro Markieff Morris, the Corner could be an effective option in Phoenix.
With the Suns demonstrating enough trust to give up the ball to the high post more frequently in Friday’s second half, corner-screen opportunities led to several easy third-quarter buckets. Phoenix shot 62 percent in that period and rang up 30 points.u6y5

lwokesaParticipant“It’s taking us a little time in making the right reads,” Suns assistant coach Elston Turner, who assisted Adelman for several season in Sacramento and Houston, said when asked about the Corner offense before the game. “But we’ll get it. It fits our guys pretty well.”
Beasley, who made half of his 8 shots and scored 10 points Friday, is working at small forward and – thanks to the Corner keeping both sides of the defense occupied – could have several post-up opportunities without weak-side defensive corruption.opi[90

lwokesaParticipant“It was just a good win,” Gentry said. “I think for us … we’re trying to create a winning environment, so first and foremost, I think you have to do it at home.”
Following practice Friday at the Lakers’ training facility in El Segundo, reporters wasted no time informing him that Smush Parker was offended about comments Bryant made regarding why his former teammate doesn’t belong in the NBA.p789967

ZoMin1985ParticipantOllie is more than deserving of the opportunity to take over for Calhoun. What he lacks in coaching experience, he more than makes up for in playing experience and understanding of the game. As a man of integrity who exemplifies the great things that can come as a result of working hard, he possesses qualities that would serve the Huskies program well as they look to replace a legend.
