been listening to jay-z my whole life… gotta go reasonable doubt.. but even then soooooo close… illmatic was so raw and from the being u could see the gift that Nas had… but just personally i’m Jay-Z type of guy

No way this is close illmatic had no skits straight lyrics from Genisis to It aint hard to tell only one song featured another artist that was AZ on Lifes a Beeotch…….Illmatic is considered the greatest rap album ever

Nas is top 5 all time as far as lyricists go imo. Illmatic hands down. That album dropped in the best era of hip hop.

Illmatic I still listen to this cd it is one of the greatest cd’s ever made. I like Jay-Z but he is not a better rapper than Nas he just knows how to sell himself better to the regular music listener.
