Memphis MadnessParticipantHey, the Clippers have Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan. Plus Mo Williams and Caron Butler. That’s one shrewd hooker.

fito91ParticipantI have a dream, that one day the Milwaukee Bucks will decide to rebuild and stop being a middle of the road team. They are going no where with the team that they have right now. In my opinion they should blow up most of their current roster and get as much young talent as possible.
Hope you guys enjoy reading this!
Trade Deadline:
1. Trade Stephen Jackson for Mehet Okur (Expiring). Let Okur walk after the season.
2. Trade Ersan (Expiring) to Boston for first round pick (right now 15th pick)
3. Trade Delfino (Expiring) to the Thunder for late first round pick and a filler (right now 29th)
4. Andrew Bogut to the Hornets for Trevor Ariza, Xavier Henry, and 1st round pick (right now 13th)
From what I’ve read the Hornets want to get rid of Ariza. Xavier Henry hasn’t proved anything yet, but still could be a solid role player. So pretty much this trade is Bogut for the 13th pick.
Offseason:
1. Hopefully Beno Udrih declines his player option
2. Amnesty Drew Gooden
Draft:
1st pick in the 5-8 range: Jeremy Lamb shooting guard
Package our 13th, 29th, and Tobias Harris for a top 10 pick and draft Perry Jones III
15th pick: John Henson Power Forward
35-38th: Drew Gordon
Rotations:
PG. Brandon Jennings, Shaun Livingston
SG. Jeremy Lamb, Mike Dunleavy jr., Xavier Henry
SF. Perry Jones III, Trevor Ariza
PF. Luc Richard, John Henson, Jon Leuer, Drew Gordon
C. Sign a decent center, Larry Sanders, Jon Brockman

iguapops420ParticipantHow could they afford Dwight and Deron if they keep Gasol and trade for Iggy. That would be almost 60 million just between Kobe,Iggy,Gasol. Not to mention Hawes is going to command around 8-10 million in the offseason. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to have that team. Simply not possible though.

Tune SquadParticipantI’d offer Calderon, Bayless, Amir, and J.J. for Milsap, Harris, Hayward
next offer Larry Legend .. Hayward(Indiana boy), Derozan, Barbosa, Klieza for George and Hansborough to see if he’d bite…if not I’d move on to..
Offer Bargnani, Davis and Gray to G.S. for Curry, Biedrins, and Tyler
if this didn’t pan I’d turn my attention to either Nash or Rondo
add a couple draft picks and offseason acquistions and hopefully we’d be looking like this next year
Valuncias/Camby/Biedrins/Alabi(d league)/ Oden (I’d offer him 2 yrs/8mill just to see if he can get healthy)
Milsap/Hansborough/Tyler
George/McGrady
Lamb/Forbes/Ray Allen (if Rondo was here, Hill if Nash was here)
Curry/Harris
We’d be looking handsome decent next year. I’d use Biedrins or Harris as pieces to move up and grab a late first round. Where I’d be looking at John Jenkins, Tony Mitchell, or Quincy Miller ie someone with some upside or ability to play a role.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipant1) Let Martell Webster’s contract expire. Buy out Brad Miller.
2) Find trades for any of the following: Anthony Randolph (still is only 23, has lots of potential), Wes Johnson (either hopelessly out of position and could use a change of scenery, or just plain hopeless), Beasley (in a sign and trade), JJ Barea (one of the worst contracts in the NBA). The Wolves need to target a SG, desperately. Possible trade targets could include Marcus Thornton, Jodie Meeks or ET, Xavier Henry, or draft picks where they can look at getting a wing guy.
3) Free agents to possibly pursue: Eric Gordon (provided he tests out well in a physical- may not be able to afford him), OJ Mayo (may not be able to afford him), Ray Allen (1 yr deal if he doesn’t retire?), Nic Batum (probably won’t be able to afford him- has been playing out of his mind lately, possibly could get close to max deal), Greg Oden (a high risk/high reward sign, but can be much lower risk if he accepts less pay), Brandon Rush (actually looking pretty decent lately, and probably will already be better than Wes Johnson).
4) Draft- hopefully the Jazz squeak in the playoffs, so the Wolves can pick around #15 or #16, where a Terrence Ross or Doron Lamb may be available. In a deal that’s probably not possible, I would love to see the Wolves trade up somehow to snag Brad Beal or Jeremy Lamb. If not, then no draft this year. They should really try and find a way to get an SG though, maybe by trading one of their picks from the Al Jefferson trade to get in.

JonOatsParticipantBefore the Trade Deadline:
1) Trade Pau in 3 way deal with Nuggets and Houston:
Lakers get Andre Miller and Al Harrington-upgrade at pg and a pf that can stretch the court
Nuggets get Kevin Martin and Sam Dalembert -they were losing Miller anyway and Dalembert is Nene insurance
Rockets get Pau and Ebanks -giving up less than they were offering last off season & Pau can play center again
2) Stop being cheap and use trade exception for Michael Beasley in exchange for Dallas’ first round pick
New Line up for this season
Starters: Miller, Kobe, World Peace, Beasley, Bynum
Reserves: Blake/Fisher, Goudelock, Barnes, Harrington, Murphy/McRoberts
Off-Season
1) Buy Out Luke Walton’s Contract for $3 Million and keep as assistant coach-Saving $2.7 Million
2) Buy Out Fisher’s Contract for $1.4 Million and keep as assistant coach-Saving $2 Million
3) Amnesty M. World Peace-Saving $6.8 Million for next 2 years
After that the player’s still under contract would be:
Kobe, Bynum, Harrington, Blake, McRoberts, and Goudelock for a total of $59.4 Million Team salary
Cap is at $60 Million for 2012-13 and I’m guessing LA would be fine with a team salary of $75 million so with that $15.6 Million they need a pg first, then 2 forwards and a back up center using their first round pick and the free agent market.
Reloading Phase
1) Try to sign Jeremy Lin or Louis Williams-5 years at $8.6 million
2) Use MLE for either Chris Wilcox or Reggie Evans-2 years at $3 million
3) Use MLE for Greg Stiemsma or Hasheem Thabeet-2 years at $2million
4) Draft best player available: 1st round-J Taylor/W Buford, 2nd round- Q Acy/ T Taylor/ D Miller at $2million
2012-13 Line Up
Starters: Lin, Kobe, Harrington, Wilcox, Bynum
Reserves: Blake, Goudelock, Taylor, McRoberts/Miller, Stiemsma

iguapops420ParticipantAwful rebuild IMO. How do you give up Pau Gasol for 36 year old pg in Dre, and a no defense/rebounding stretch combo forward in Harrington and not even get a pick back. No way would LAL EVER do that trade IMO. Anything involving Gasol and Denver ould absolutely have to gain back Tywon or nothing. Tywon/Faried/Anderson/filler. Nothing less.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/06/2012 - 11:43am #644460
JonOatsParticipantWhy would Denver make that trade? Miller is underrated and gives Lakers a chance to win this year and then clear space for off season moves. Harrington gets 6 rebs/game and is the same age as Pau. And getting him at 1/3 of the cost of Pau. Getting two starters for one for Pau is as good as Lakers are going to get. Also there is zero chance of KG signing anywhere next year for $3 million at the MLE. Kobe would have to take a dramatic pay decrease to sign all of the guys you suggested
0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/06/2012 - 11:58am #644467
JonOatsParticipantto just give their best players to LA so they can win a championship. And the Lakers have messed up the trade value of Pau by shopping him for so long. When you only have two real suitors interested and neither will give you a pg that improves the team, you have to take what you can get or just make a small addition and take your chances the next few years.

Rest Steph Curry’s ankle for the remainder of the season. Trade Ellis for Pek, Anthony Randolph and Beasley, Tank the rest of the season, because our pick is top 7 protected.
Draft Jeremy Lamb, keep Beasley for as cheap as possible.
Now we have Pek at Center, Lee at PF, Lamb at SF, Thompson at the 2, and Curry running the point. We would have Nate, Brandon Rush, Dorrell Wright, Udoh, and Randolph off the bench.
Not the best, but a step in the right direction

M-EazyParticipantNew York Knicks — never hire Isiah Thomas.

stepback3ParticipantTrade Gerald Wallace, Wes Matthews and Portlands unprotected 2012 first round pick (they maybe in the lottery) for Eric Gordon and Trevor Ariza this season so we would have his rights.
Trade Jamal Crawford in a three way trade which sends Mike Beasley to Cleveland, Ramon Sessions and Alonzo Gee to Portland with Jamal goind to Minnasota.
Trade Felton and Kurt Thomas, to LAL for Steve Blake and Matt Barnes
Team: minus Eric Gordon to current injury.
Starters = Ramon Session-Nicolas Batum-Trevor Ariza-LaMarcus Aldridge-Marcus Camby
Rest = Nolan Smith-Elliot Williams-Matt Barnes-Craig Smith-Joel Pryzbilla-Steve Blake-Luke Babbit-Alonzo Gee-Chris Johnson
Hire an assistant GM from a good team to be GM.
