Records that will be broken this year
most points in a game by a player... yah totally kidding ;)
I would say the rookie blocks record but then I saw Manute Bol blocked 397 in 1985-86. That was an incredible 4.97 a game and is actually 2nd all time and if Davis averages 3 a game that would be amazing.
No rookie is scoring 58 points in a game I can guarentee you that. Wilt Chamberlain did it twice in 1960 and it isn't likely that any player in the league reaches that mark this season.
Nobody is breaking Scott Skiles record of 30 assists in a game either. Rondo had 2 games of 20 last year but that was his highest..unless a game goes 4 or 5 OTs that record isn't going anywhere for a while.
Michael Jordan scored 63 in the playoffs against the Celtics in 1986. You do know who Michael Jordan is right? Who exactly do you think is going to break all these records?
the Heat didnt even average 99 ppg last year and the addition of 2 old shooters wont put them anywhere near the record
some of the things people say... smh

@stuozosoaoasa Who will get the assists, who will score the points or do you just have a hunch that This is The season thats its going to happen. I am going to make a prediction -- This season will have the most random posts by people that dont think B4 they type! Anyone want to put some money on that one?
Despite all of the personnel changes shooting guard Lou Williams, the Hawks’ marquee free agent signing this past summer, believes the team isn’t in rebuild mode, but sort of a transitional restructuring period in the first year of general manager Danny Ferry’s tenure.
Dion Waiters. The rookie guard didnt just score a game-high 18 points off the bench. He went 7-for-12 shooting and buried all four of his 3-pointers. Most impressively, Waiters entered the game in the second half with his team leading by just two points. The Cavs, thanks mostly to Waiters, quickly extended it to nine.
Dragic, who – like Scola -- played for Adelman in Houston two years ago, looked quite comfortable running new elements of the Phoenix show. After spending most of training camp compromised by an ankle injury, the Dragon appeared to have most of his usual burst against Portland.
"It's taking us a little time in making the right reads," Suns assistant coach Elston Turner, who assisted Adelman for several season in Sacramento and Houston, said when asked about the Corner offense before the game. "But we'll get it. It fits our guys pretty well."
"I tell Steve, you won MVP but I was playing with Smush Parker," Bryant said. "He's playing with [Leandro] Barbosa. I'm playing with Smush and Kwame [Brown]. My goodness. Smush Parker was the worst. He shouldn't have been in the NBA, but we were too cheap to pay for a point guard. We let him walk on."bvsdf
Shannon Brown, who finished with 12 points, eventually figured out that instead of a steady diet of accepting a ball screen from the high post, giving up the ball and starting on off-ball, two-man game can make things trickier for the defense.
It’s been a rough go for Rivers early on as he tries to adjust to the NBA game after spending a season at Duke. That being said, working on his game has been the main agenda for the 20-year-old, who figures to play a prominent role in the Hornets’ backcourt this season.
“Competing from Jose and Kyle, to me and DeMar [DeRozan], to Amir [Johnson] and [Andrea] Bargnani, we are competing all the way across the board,” Anderson said. “It is a big difference [from last year] because guys are actually trying to [help] each other get better and want to play and prove that they can play.”

I think the assists in a game and apg record will be broken. I think the most points scored in a playoff game will be broken to this year. What records do you think will be broken this year?
