I just watched this video on him and i was really impressed. Why is no one talking about him or why isnt he listed on any mocks? Dude has scary talent. And this was only his freshman year. 6’9 with a sweet stroke, length, athleticism, and a solid handle. I think this guy can be a monster at the next level. What do yall think?

To tell you the truth, alot of people were kind of surprise he didnt enter the draft last season ..I felt he was the best pro prospect on that Miss. State roster which included 1st round pick Arnett Moultrie and talented but troubled center Renardo Sidney…

He would’ve been drafted based on his upside, but he wasnt ready to contribute on a consistent basis…Going to Duke to play for a great teacher like coach K will make him better and a more complete player……….It’s going to interesting to see how much he’s worked on his body, ball handling and using his left hand….

He will shoot up the draft boards come next year. This site had him in the lottery I believe before he transfered. Duke is going to be lethal next year with him and Parker.

I was excited when I heard he transferred in. Of course I wish we could have had him this year but oh well. He will really break out next year along with Jabari though I think

I really like Hood. He is going to be great for Duke next year.

Very smooth player with a silky jumper and a good feel for the game. I think he’ll fit like a glove at Duke.
He needs to improve his handle and learn to be more assertive.

Also, for some reason I figured he’d measure out longer than he is. I see 6’8-6’8.5 wingspans listed. That can’t be right. If it is, that is below average for a SF.

I live 30 minutes away from Starkville and I have a bunch of friends who go to State, so I got to see a lot of him last year. He’s gonna be a great prospect and should have a great year next year. Him with Parker and Sulaimon is gonna be scary. Basketball in general next year will be incredible

I keep saying this on and on again. I get it, Plumlee, Curry, Kelly, SENIORS, experienced, good players, great teammates, etc. But they are all SPECIALTY players, who can’t just get you a bucket when you need one. Even Curry can be slowed down, as he was yesterday. But next year, with Hood and Parker, they will have 2 wings who can legitimately get you points on garbage possessions and make plays on their own without anyone’s help. Duke is going to be more dangeorus next year than they were this year based on sheer talent alone.

Defensively, they’ll be weak on the interior though. They’ll probably play with a bunch of C- less lineups and will be forced to gang rebound.
