Based on the way these two are playing this season who would you give the MVP award to if you had to choose between them!…

My pick would be Rondo…yes the celtics are good without him.. Yes he plays with 3 HOFs.. But he is the key to the car on that team!.. With that being said Rose has reached a new level an is playing great but 14 apg is crazy not to mention he averages 12 ppg!

    Thoughts??

Rose is a much more complete player than Rondo. Rondo is a great passer. But he doeesnt carry his team. Rose has CARRIED his team to 33-14, which is absolutely amazing.

Rondo is my favorite player in the league but until he develops a shot he shouldn’t even be considered to be in the top 10.

"Why can’t I be MVP?" Derrick Rose asked before the season started. Everybody laughed, but when the leather hit the hardwood. DRose made everybody believe. Leadership, intangibles, oohhh&awww factor,3point % increase, he rebounds, dishes. This guy is awesome Doc Rivers said "He has HOF ability" if & this is a big IF the Bulls end up 2nd in the East, He will have a press Conference @ the United Center thanking all his supporters for his 1st of Many MVP’s. He did’nt want Lebron or DWade because that’s his Team. The way he can take over a game is something Rondo can’t do, i just hope he stay’s heathly because he could be an HOF.

    My MVP board

    Rose

Lebron/Wade this is their problem 2 MVP canidates on same team stealing vote from eachother

D.Howard He is doing everthing he can to help his team win. Just don’t call out your teammates in public anymore.

    K.Durant.

It’ll be either Rose, KD or Lebron.

MVP stands for most valuable player. Rajon Rondo has had a great season to say the least. But they still win games and are a great team without him. If you take Derrick Rose off of the Bulls they are not anywhere near the 33-14 they have right now. Derrick Rose is more valuable to the Bulls then Rondo is to the Celtics because Rose has to carry his team on his shoulders.

When it comes to passing, rebounding and defense, rondo stands out because thats all boston asks of him. I think because rose is asked to do more he looks better but if rondo had to, he could probably give you at least 18 or 19 a game along with his 13 or 14 assist, 5 rebounds and 2 steals, do I like rondo better yes, because he is a PASS FIRST GUARD!!!!! but I understand why people would take rose over him…….

Rondo is not capable of scoring 18-19PPG, he doesn’t even have a jumpshot to speak of, and he is shooting 45% from the FT-Line.

Rondo is good enough of a driver to score 18ppg. He might not be a dyamic scorer, but he can blow anyone off the ball and is quick enough to get 18ppg. Rondo doesn’t do as much because he doesn’t need to. I think it’s arguable that Rondo can be MVP because he is responsible for something like 50% of the Celtics’ points. That is a MVP-esque number. Rose’s season might be more warranted of the MVP award, but that doesn’t mean Rondo isn’t playing like a MVP. Any of the Celtics’ players will tell you that Rondo is the heart of this year’s team.

Sorry but 10ppg and 12apg  are not MVP numbers. And i think even those numbers are inflated playing on team with great shooters like Allen and Pierce. Its the perfect situation for him to hide his weaknesses. Put him on the Bulls and I’m not 100% sure they make the playoffs.

Rose has carried his team to a great record and they are still in the competition to get the number one seed ( highly doubt it but still) and thats with Noah and Boozer being injured for different parts of the season, and those are two of the best players on the team and he has shown the ability to dominate games and literally will his team to victory, I do not see Rondo doing that if he was on the Bulls, as of now Rose is the frontrunner for MVP.

Rondo is a player who thrives in this system…Rose can carry a team…Not even close between them two and that is no slight to rondo. Rose is now the best pg in the game and maybe the most explosive PURE PG we have ever seen. Rondo is mr intagible and all but i think when u look at it…U have D. Rose…then u have the other pgs. Just my opinion but i know people can make cases for deron westbrook and them…but give me poohdini anyday.

these is all i need to say to prove it:

Take rondo off the celtics. how many games can they win? wil they make the playoffs?

Take rose off the bulls. How many games will they win? will they make the playoffs?

Yeah, the Celtics can make the playoffs without him, but what team doesn’t have that possiblity of making it to the playoffs in the East, with the exception of a couple of teams? The most mediocre teams in the NBA can make it in the East… But Rondo’s value goes beyond just making the playoffs. Arguably, he has been the Celtics’ best player in the past two playoffs. They wouldn’t make it out the second round without him. Mainly from an offensive and intagibles perspective, he was the biggest reason they beat the Cavs last year… Rose is doing more with less, obviously, but it isn’t fair to discredit what Rondo does during the season and when it counts the most, which is in the playoffs. With all that being said, Rose is higher on the MVP list.

Yes, 12-14 are very good numbers.. Too bad Rondo only averages 10-12 though.
